looking for christian snowmobilers

maybe you guys should start your own christian 4m ride. it's one thing for a individual to think about god or believe in, but when you start discussing religion among others while out snowmobiling or on a forum, you people are ****ing whackos.

I'm a fellow believer and i would with ride anyone of you any time. I'm in idaho and not one person i ride with is a believer and we ride hard and its never a big deal. Why so many of you are acting like you would never want to ride with a bible preaching sledder is crazy. its not how it is.... we ride like everyone else just have a different out like on life. Its our choice just like you have a choice. There is no need for bashing on here, a guy was simple trying to find others to ride with thats it.

If we could get a group of god fearing riders together and start to get our friend that aren't christians involved with the group I think it would be an awsome ice breaker for us sharing his word with them.

The whole Idea is to spread his word and if I help you with your friend and you help my friends and they bring more peolpe together we end up with a giant snow ball effect and thats the whole Idea right. no pun intended there about the snow ball HAHA

Recognize your own words?

And tell me again how you're only interested in riding with other "Christians" and not setting others up for some kind of Jesus ambush?

There have been a few different threads on this 4M over the years about members who want to ride with other "Christians" and those threads never sparked the debate yours did because they didn't add the part about "start to get our friend that aren't christians involved with the group I think it would be an awsome ice breaker for us sharing his word with them."
That's what started the argument.

I work with and (Used to) ride with a few VERY christian folks who are extremely pushy with their self righteous, holier than thou beliefs so I know what CAN happen.
It has ruined some good freindships along the way because they can't seem to comprehend leaving well enough alone. Not everyone wants to hear it.

Just because I believe in evolution does not mean I worship the devil.
I'm no threat to your church so leave me the &%# alone.
I lost a sister to the CULT of the Mormons and a brother to the born again's. so youll pardon me if I'm not interested in any of it.
Dont tell me religion is just about worship, brotherhood and eternal peace. It's also about building your ranks. This is a fact.
More people in history have died in the name of religion than ANY other cause.

Live your life, I'll live mine. DO NOT preach to me because my beliefs are as strong as yours.

BTW You brought this on yourself by adding the part of "Inviting non believers to spread the word"

Otherwise I would ride with you anytime.
We won't have time to discuss anything!

I know this is an offensive post to many, I'm sorry to you all but I felt I had to defend my earlier reply. Normally I don't discuss religion at all and I respect your right to believe what you will.

PEACE

I have my own set of beliefs. I don't care what yours are; christian, mormon, wiccan, atheist, etc. As long as you're not a dick about it and you don't try to push your beliefs on me, I couldn't care less what you follow.

I haven't been into a church in years now. I was raised catholic, went to church every week as a kid and always hated it. For some reason, people are surprised when they find out I'm not religious. Maybe I just put off that altar-boy vibe or something.

IMO you're closer to $DIETY on top of a mountain on a perfect powder day than you are singing praises with hundreds of other people.

Well said - AMEN !! :D

We are a family of 4 I have a 6 and 9 year old when we go out as a family yes its 60% trails and 40% powder and playing.
the other answers is.
I mostly ride with guys from work but want to just get connected with other christian families.
I do ride with a group of peolpe that aren't much on the christian belief and our ideas and I try to set a good example of how christ would be in that atmoshire.
we all need help and encouragement from time to time from our fellow believers and that is all I'm we are looking for.

This post wreaks of your self-righteousness. People are not looking for your help here. Admin., please get rid of these types of threads before Snowest goes down the tubes.

These types of threads are fine.
It's interesting discussion.

He's a bigger man than I just for posting his desire to spread God's Word.
We all pass along the filthy emails & post the near pornographic photos,
but yet we are reluctant to let others know who we pray to every night.
We shouldn't be ashamed of that!

I am a Christian and live in Layton Utah. We have 4-6 guys we ride with from our Church. We would like to ride with others when the opportunity arises.

We do a Thursday through Saturday trip once a year. We ride Thursday then have dinner together and then have a preaching service. Get up Friday morning have breakfast and a devotion, take a sack lunch and go ride all day, Friday evening we eat dinner together then have another preaching service. Saturday morning we have breakfast and a closing devotion and go ride as long as we want to before we travel home.

We have been going out of Evanston Wy and riding in the Uintas. It has been great.

Anybody interested in coming along is welcome to come.

I would ride with you if i didn't live in Wyoming!! Good luck finding people!

I see a lot of insecurity here on the part of the non believers. Everyone who clicked this thread knew what they were getting into and no one was forced. If a Christian makes an attempt to talk to you a simple, " I appreciate your concern for my salvation but Im gonna have to pass on your advice." should make a clear statement of where you stand. Any Christian attempting to spread the good word should back off if they get a response like that. Respect for each others beliefs, that's what its all about. Unless of course they are libs! In which case they are fair game for anything.... LOL

Capen4: even some of us heathens know that when refering to The Almighty, it is customary to capitalize His name. Other than that, I have no comment. Good luck in spreading His word within sledding circles.

Believers offensive ?

Well said Ragged, sure seems to be a lot of memebers on here all p#*!ed off about a guy wanting to ride with religious or nonreligious riders. How he's "attacking" you ?? , we get it you don't like to be preached to, if there's something (like a thread) that I don't care for I simply don't involve myself in it. This is the first thread of this content I have come across in the last 2 or so years I have been browsing, I don't think there is any worry of the forum "tanking" over this, admin. I'm sure will take the proper action if it turns into a "religious" forum. I also am a man of faith, although you would'nt always know it, I don't advertise it, push it, or try to pressure people into anything. I think most people have heard of the Bible & God, if they don't believe that's their choice, I'll just say that in the end if nonbelievers are right we'll all end the same but I'll take my chances being a believer besides I'm not out anything by believing.

so... this is not a bad thread. i think it gives a good chance for someone to share that they are looking to ride with people of similar faith and beliefs. I don't consider this "religious" or "pushy" either. He's passionate about his faith, so what's different then any one of us pushing our love for this sport on others that don't? Or how is it any different than any of you guys or gals that pushy about NOT believing? There's no difference is there?

The way people get bent out of joint about someone sharing about Christianity makes me ever more encouraged that it's the TRUTH. Lot's of power in the name of Jesus i guess. Just my take anyway.

I personally try to look at this a little different. I just do my best to live my life like Christ calls us to in His "book." I'll share my faith if you ask me about it, and i'm not ashamed to answer questions. But I aint here to judge you or think i'm better than you. The only thing different between me and a guy who doesn't believe is that i've accepted that I'm forgiven. I'm surely not any better than anyone else. Too bad other's feel it's OK to judge.

As for drinking and swearing - knock yourself out. Just don't drink and ride with me. That's has nothing to do with faith either - it's just stupid to put my life in someone's hands who's drinking. Plenty of time for beers at the cabin or home.

Dito, Well said,

Religion is not nor will ever be my bag, but this guy has every right to post up that he is looking for people to ride with, with his same views. I have either posted or responded to posts looking for people to ride with. It has been a great way to meet people to ride with. I have had the most fun riding over the last couple of years because of this forum. If you don't agree, ignore the posts.

I never thought we would get such interest in a thread like this.
Like myself and other people have said I'm looking for other believers who ride and any one is invite to ride with us. I'm not going to preach to you at 10,000. I'm in the mountains to enjoy the day and the people I'm riding with no matter who it is or what day it is or what they believe.

If were riding and we stop for a break And you ask I would answer any questions you have about Jesus and god to the best of my ability. I have yet to even take a bible with me on a trip.
Last time i rode it was kind of hard to talk to someone that was climbing up a hill or when we were running 70 down the trial.

My actions aren't perfect sometimes but I try to live my life the way that Jesus did.
