Sure

I play bass in our Praise & Worship team,And some guys I ride with are not believers but that does not make them bad.......I mean I have to respect every ones decisions in life even if I do not agree with them,Thats part of being a christian.........
Now the guys I ride with also respect who I am as well and I have never pushed christianity on them and thats why we still get along great...All I can do is be an example.................And some have asked and I will tell but they ask on their own and after they change the subject I stop......
Its not hard........

But I agree that their is some Christians that push it to the edge......And they wonder why no one wants to hang out with them.......

I think I am sponsored by GOD for sure!!! I some how survive every ride I go on. Nice to see you dont hide your religion, dont mind the mouthy ones they're just insecure. Was raised with religon but dont follow it much any more. I ride with a few friends that practice and always enjoy the ride..........

So some of you need to RELAX, we are not coming to get you.

Tell that to the Jehovah's Witnesses that showed up on my door step last week ... they specifically told me that an Enviromentalist would come and "get me" if I continued to shout obscenities while crashing my sled this season ... honest :D

The original post just strikes me as odd ... but to each their own. This forum just seems a strange pulpit?

We Have been attending RRC Red Rocks Church now for about a year now And we are snowmobilers. God has blessed us with these toys and we extremely enjoy his beutifull creations in the Rocky mountains here in CO. We would like to get together with other christian snowmobilers this winter and have fun being in gods world with fellow believers.

Hi to all. Well I believe capen4 was inviting some christian people to have a good time together and I dont know why someone is ofended by that, I think it is his choice and if you dont want to ride with him dont ride it.Capen4 I would ride with you but I am far away, if you will go to ride sometime in canada stop by our place here in WA we have good places to ride. By the way I am christian too but we ride with non-belivers too and they ok with that. I never sow one riding away pissed off because we said something to him. :)

Thanks for all the support its encouraging to see so many god fearing people out here.
I live in the Denver Coloardo area my e-mail address is capenco@q.com

If anyone is interested and wants to get together please e-mail me and I will get back with you.

Yes I ride on powder sundays and I say things I probably shouldn't when I'm in the snow. no body is perfect.

priest
I would love to plan a trip to canada and stop in washington to ride whats the evelation there.

the way i see it is i would rather be riding with my family on a sunday morning instead of sitting in a room listening to a guy tell me how to live. dosent mean i dont belive but i show it by going out and actually living my life. as long as your family is out doing stuff together then your doing alright

Maybe you guys could put a super lightweight titanium alloy "Jesus Fish" on your sleds, might even add a few horsepower.

Hmmm, Do you ride deep powder Sundays? I do! Aw crap, now i'm going to hell! -As a good water skiing buddy said to me one fine glass day with temps in the 80s and nobody on the water but us "ya know it's better to be skipping church and thinking of God, then it is to be in church and thinking about something else"

Pretty good way of looking at things in my eyes.

That's the beauty of enjoying our great sport. It's people of all types, enjoying the same common interest. I personally ride with people of different faiths or for that matter peeps with no faith. I have yet, to go out and not have fun or be offended. As stated earlier "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink." :D

yep thats what my dad always said, it's better to be out fishing and thinkin about church then to be in church thinkin about fishin.

I am just trying to figure out how the "F" God blessed him with the new toys ??? I have to pay thousands for mine - sign me up !! And don't get me started on religion.

So, uh...when you're facing a tough line, searching your soul, thinking, Do I have the balls? Do I have the skills? You have to ask yourself...WJWANFMH?

let me ask you guys some thing that are so offended by a Christian guy asking for others of life faith that want to hook up and ride to post to this thread...

when your on the hill sharing about the good time you had getting wasted on your old friend "bud wiser" or reliving the good time you had sticking your last one dollar bill in some teen are girls g string while your wife is at home ....

how many times do you have Christin guy spout off and rip you for offending him? My guess is none of you have ever had it happen ...Maybe you have caught your self and felt guilty for doing it in front of your Christan friend...but no one of you can honestly say that you have been ripped into on the mountain by a fellow sledder they way this thread has gone for Capin4...

But as a Christian we are supposed to sit back and listing to language that offends us or to listen to situations or stories that are offencive or shut up to drinking and driving or the hill...... but we have to clam up when we are looking for some one of like faith to ride with??

are you serious right now??

We listen to this crap every where we go and say nothing...why...why are you guys never worried about offending others with what you spew the way we have to worry about offending you?

I ride hard and live hard ...I screw up and I make some right decisions....so why are people of faith the target of you guys....

you want a target? pick a TV preacher if you gotta have someone to tear down...

dont tear down the guy that is just doing the best he can for himself in his personal preparations for eternity...thats his life...dont make his struggles yours if you dont want them...thats what brings on the anger....just let it roll the way we have too ....

cut the guy some slack...this isnt a battle of judgments unless you honestly feel that way...then surch your self not the poor guy that made you feel angry over making a post as simple as this...

PEACE!

Wouldn't it be easier to put an add in the church bulletin looking for riding partners? After all they're in Colorado.

Bet then preaching to choir, as it were, doesn't exactly qualify as proslytizing now does it?

I went on a trip with our church men's group last winter. About 7 of us guys went to northern MN for a weekend of fun - religion was discussed maybe .01% of the time - the rest was just having fun and not hurting anyone else. It was a blast and I can't wait to do it again this year...hopefully we have enough beer (some Christians do enjoy a cocktail or five after riding).

I have my own relationship with god and it doesn't involve following directions out of a book that is nothing more than interputations from many years and faiths. Church happens on my sled in the mountains on Sunday. I always make sure to thank the big guy for what I have and then its off to the next hill. It would ruin the experionce if I was getting preached at on the hill...sorry.
