Put me on the list Westmont.

Thanks rcditchpickle.

I sent a email to all that I knew with the most current information I had to date. If others can help by filling in the blanks please do and also pass it along to the ones I don't have emails for if you can. The list is very informal and anyone is welcome to add to it. I think it's most important that the contact info is correct so check to be sure it is.

Thanks,
John

Hunting season is over now and one more weekend out of state and then I'll be ready to try out the new pro. Also need to resuscitate the 903 edge chassis.

got my info to john. great idea! if anyone needs help put me at the top of the list to help out ANY TIME. i may not know the area like the back of my hand but i can ride good enuf to get to ya...unles ya got a turbo ;)

I wish I could go with ya rajin. All this new snow and from the looks of the weather report some sun is on the way for this weekend and I'll be headed to Wyoming. :face-icon-small-sad

well 2xm3 and adam and tracey i are headin to skalkaho(i think) saturday so if your around your more than welcome to come!

2XM3, Will this be a test run for the new and improved sled or have you had the time to get it all put back together?

Nah..not yet...probably all done middle of next week. I'm just to durn pickey and its like a mini sprint car to me so time consuming project.
Jackshaft moved .035 and in,brake disc machined, chaincase in position, new drivers pressed on and mocked up 4 times, track will fit a ok. Went and made some rods to index crank center line with jackshaft and driveshaft..haha fun project.:pound::pound: Have ya ever spun drivers on a lathe with your driveshaft on centers at 1800 rpm?:face-icon-small-sho Well DON"T sometimes things are better left unseen..lmao...the good side is I love cuttin nylon :face-icon-small-hap and they are .0001 perfect now.
Then made a aluminium sleeve to fit between drivers on shaft so I could get my lug spacing perfect with track holes and allowing me to press drivers back and forth on shaft both at same time, much much easier than pressing 1 driver at a time and spacing stays perfect.
all parts back, hood all done, can you say Purple??
Have to fab new brackets to mount trailing arms and some small braces here and there for skid mounts. Got my delrin rods for bushings and stuff yesterday so thats good to go.

But I will say working on the sled is much more fun than a racecar as its easier to chuck smaller parts across shop..:laugh::tape2:

But almost done so all is good...:face-icon-small-coo:face-icon-small-coo

wobble

You're tellin us there was a little wobble in your drivers??? I thought the Avid drivers were machined? Huh, so some of our sled parts aren't manufactured up to our standards I'll be damned!!! ha ha

I think if you and Westmont ever had to build a sled together, it would never get done............ Nuthin is made to those standards......

I always told my buddy, don't overlook the little things when it comes to you and your sleds relationship... ya gotta keep her happy....

hmm, vids.

Sleddin vids have gone from cool and entertaining, to depressing and dull. Even after 7 dews. I'm gonna have to switch to beer, or develop a drug habit! !!

2XM3, curious did you machine the brake disc to fit the avid chain case because I machined the avid chaincase to fit the slp lightweight brake disc as the hub offset is different than the stocker disc.

Don't anyone let Winger kid you. I've witnessed perfection from him also. :face-icon-small-coo
