I see you get around on the forums on snowest. I have been looking at all the avy reports and videos thanks for providing the sites for us to go too. I had a friend die in a avy so keeping myself informed of what the snow conditions are like are a big deal. Thanks again.

Thanks Dude...hopefully it makes it all smoother in the Montana Section.

I didn't take a camera Scoot but we found 1 1/2' of untracked Friday On Top of The World and anywhere from a 1 1/2' to 3 1/2' on Saturday. I still hit a ton of crap not covered up. This last bit of snow should set up and take care of that though.

The tuner tunning my sled couldn't have been more off on getting me ready for Cooke. I ran 7000-7400 rpm Friday and 7500-7800 Saturday with the supplies I took with me.

2XM3 and ragincajun's group (a big thanks to all of the guy's in your group) offered me whatever I needed that they may have to make it run better but I decided to just survive the weekend. Guy's thanks again. :beer;:beer;

I'll make a few changes for this coming weekend. In time I'll get it to where it should be.

ha ha

So starts another epic battle between man and machine, brains vs. bolts... Your mind and body against such opponents as carbs, jets, needle clips, and clutch springs. Moves, changes, angles and screws will all be had on this carbon fiber and aluminum battle field. For there is NO loser in such a contest, both Johnny and his mutated sled will arise victorious, breathe fire, and slay all who dare to face them on their stage,,, which is locally known as,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, legendary boondockin..................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah!

Maybe I could help ya tame that beast, lemme know.......

:D

Went to Cooke with no camera?????????????????????????????????????????

wtf

getting the yamaha back together

well I had Darr hone out my cylinder heads time to put it back together. Hopefully I get it done this week during work schedule. Still Wish it was another skidoo instead of yamaha.

Thats quite a story. lol
Short version is sled = 1, me = 0 but thats ok. I'll keep trying until I succeed.

So???

I've got a couple of buddies that hit up ole survey today. I however did not go, I don't snowmobile.... I'll have a report for ya when they get back...

ohhh, don't anger the snowest cops.....

the survey

The report says only about 5 feet at the chitter, and on the second cornice ridge at the end in the trees there are a few pretty good rocks still stickin out..... Doesn't look good. They said it was decent compared to everything else. That's about it...

Hmmm. Bummer.
I'd bet you can take the road on past the chitter to the test hill. Good chance it's not drifted over, eh?

um yeah

It's usually doable all winter, we take that way just for the hell of it, fun when no tracks that way.

Sometimes you CAN'T get past that first couple hundred yards past the outhouse on that road. That can be a nasty sidehill when the snow is hard.

Are you sure your not talking about the one going left from the test hill to the lake. I call the one at the outhouse the easy way? :grouphug:

I've never taken the road from the test hill to the lake.

When you leave the outhouse and take the road around to the test hill...that gets very drifted right past the outhouse. We went in there on June 19th of 2008 and almost had some accidents trying to get around the first bend past the outhouse. We only about 50 yds past the outhouse and the ridgeline trail to the test hill when the first guy got in trouble. Right past where the gate actually is.
He ended up down below the road about 40 yards. That is pretty steep down there, BTW. LOL After you get past the first 100 yards or so into that road it's not too bad.

hmmm?

I can't remember it ever being that tough.....

Hey Scott, what are ya plannin on doin with the new HD vid cam???
