Lolo, Surveyor, HooDoo, Lookout--Stateline Riders Assn: 2014-15

Spent the afternoon on Lolo today. The snow sure isn't the best but it's great to be out.
My old primary was worn out and needed rebushed (didn't have all of the parts to rebuild it in stock) I guess more so than I thought because after installing a new clutch the sled finally come to life. May not be perfect but getting closer.

My buddy wants to buy a new dragon. I told him to go skidoo. I have not ridden a new dragon. Any one ridden both and can tell me we which one performs better. I would say doo has more power. But he also wants to put a turbo on it down the road. Which means poo is the winner. He hates cats so don't go there.

Of the choices given if I were to go buy a new sled that does everything well right out of the box I would go with the XP. I've rode with quite a few guy's with them and they work very well. If I knew I was going to turbo for sure then it would be the D8.

It was running very strong right up until the ecu went up in smoke on it yesterday.

Yah both would be nice. He rode my doo today. Liked it but I think he will still go with the poo. Since his wife has a poo. Yamaha seized today not good want to shoot the thing. But the doo ran awesome today. A little more snow up lolo today. But still have to watch for hidden snags. Hopefully it keeps snowing.

we went up with a friend and they took us to fuji or fiji? had about 8in of fresh but good god we need some snow! it was a fun day...the last 15 minutes sucked...buddy broke a tie rod in the middle of packer medows...just snapped...towed him to the truck and went to load mine. i managed to stuff a ski under the deck when i was loading it(tilt deck trailer). there was a bit of snow under one edge of the trailer so the jump was aabout 2in higher...usually it makes a nice smooth transition from snow to deck...not this time...it was one of those...eh ill just hit it a little faster and ill be fine...i hit and one ski went up and the other went under....that was quite the stop lol. never broke the ski loop or the ski itself, dont ask me how but it didnt...just nice and bent up. time to dip it in some HOT water or heat the damn thing up. got a handlebar end to the leg, a bent ski a bruised ego. i felt like a complete tard lol. oh well...chit happens!

is your oiler working ok? crack in the case? is is somehow leaning out? i had a buddy who said they burned down a yammi 3 times in a row. turns out the oiler had broken or fallen off and didnt know it because they never pulled the motor to rebuild it. they just stuck a new top end in and called it good

I think the oiler is not working. I parked the trailer and didn't even look to see if the oil line from the resevoir is full. But I think that is the problem. I wonder if I could just cap of the pump and just run mix gas through the carbs. Don't know how much a oil pump is. Will find out. Yah lolo needs more snow. We found some snow to play in but had girls so we couldn't go to fiji. I like the tree. You will have to go on youtube. There is a Skiddo that ran over a tree and the track came shooting out the back of the sled funny. So will look at Yamaha today. Not to eager to dig into it.

MB7 is back to work, so it's daddy day care.

First of all, the ECU went tits on the TD8 eh. damn it. This turbo thing seems to be always hit and miss. Seems like there will always be something to malfunction. All of my turbo research says all of them have some sort of issues, no matter which brand, kit, location...... Yeah, there will always be a few guys say there's has never had an issue,,,,, just like there will be guys that say they can handle their big Yammi 4 stroke through the tight trees... ha ha.........

ha ha what can i say...i do work....trees are traction!!!!!!!!!!! ha ha ha ha ha dont let the fs tard see this scott! i dont have a loggin permit! i guess i should turn my tree magnet off before it goes on the hunt for a bigger one! lol...on second thought....i do have full coverage...and its insured for slightly more than its worth....i think i may just leave it on!!!

oil pump

yah the oil pump would work if the guy that took the cable off of it would put it back on when the motor is being put back in the sled you wouldn't burn up a motor. Man I am stupid. So I got the cylinders off of two of the pistons but the middle piston does not want to move so what do I do now. Any suggestions. Oh I need to go sledding Saturday because my wife is having a party at the house and I am not invited. Good thing the Skidoo is still running hard. Any one heading out Saturday.

OOPS!!! lesson learned! ha ha...i got your solution for your stuck piston......torch,,,or a big effing hammer ha ha ha. if im around ill give ya a shout. i dont really feel like sitting around the house.

Are the snowcheck deals even worth it anymore? Sure doesn't seem like it. If a guy could hold out till January it seems you can get a way better deal on a brand new sled....

I love it when it snows

big hammer. I think I will put the clutch on it and try to turn the crank so the piston is at the bottom then yank on the old yam. See if that does any good. Hopefully the crank is still good.
