Today was as good as gets and the sun was out . Just to see how much snow there is in the back country is amazing. I add up all the snow fall amounts today on this Thread and it is 49 feet of accumulated snow so far this year. I have 13 feet in the meadow right now. This is just amazing. With just 3 days of sun it is going fast. Still lots of good snow to be had. Here is Vince going up Paradise chutes today. 163 Polaris Pro. My son jumping. We needed the turbo sleds today to go up some of the the hills. I Love this sport.

Went out today and with the little rain yesterday and cooler temperature's the snow has firmed up. The snow is little bumpy as you can see here. but you can go anywhere. This is over looking Sierraville today. Very nice to have sun. Bring your sunscreen.

I was riding there Saturday. The roads and trails had not been groomed recently, and were somewhat rough and bumpy. Does anybody know when the trails will be groomed again?
Tim grooms the main road 07 on Sat. Tue. Th. Nights. The snow was soft and temp. were warm this weekend so the road got bumpy fast. Grooming is over on April 15, last time I talk to Tim.

This is a great story. When you posted this it snowed 3 feet that night. I thought your pack would be lost for good. When riding with a good friend Mike said that he had found a back pack. Well here it is. I will PM you so we can hook up.

Rode out of DLI on Friday, was raining all day. Went south towards Mammoth and got sunshine and great snow on Saturday. Was misting when I came back over Donner on Sunday morning
I forget how much i love tree riding in california. But where was my sunshine? The amount of snow up high there is insane.

There is a questionnair regarding this BS that you can fill out but I lost the email.I heard the land was being purchased with tax payer money.Weber as you said Trackman is on the next hit list.I'll see if I can find the email address for anyone thats wants to help protect the area
Hey Steve:
What area are those buttheads trying to close down - is it just Independance Lake or all the surrounding area like Carpenter Ridge to the East and the Lola ridge to the West? Never did find a map of the proposed closure. Whatever it is, it can't be good.

Yes it is the surrounding area's. Up over the hill to Carpenter Ridge and up over the hill to Lola. They are calling it a preserve. The definition of a preserve is no motorized vehicles. They have not shut us down yet. Do fill out the survey. Yes this is not good.
