Little Truckee Summit Snow Report

Rode LTS today in the afternoon.

RAINING.

Off trail, snow is waterlogged and HEAVY. Even up at 7500+.....

07 road has not been groomed, asphalt starting to poke out in places.


Not what I wanted to report, but that is what I found.

My call is Lola this weekend. 9,149' I would like to think there is some new snow up there. Lola is all we got . Who's In. Sunday for sure for me .

LTS Today

Why not go out ? The suns out. We hit good and bad snow today. In the trees and in the sun it was great but when we got in the shady stops it was rock hard. You could climb a wall today and we did it but going back down was not fun. At one point Bee went down backwards. I don't think Im going out until we get new snow. Be carefully out there.

Did you get any new from this last little storm. Thinking of coming up tomorrow. Need to get a Vin transfered at CHP in Truckee anyway.

Rain and snow till 3 and then full on snow storm. We needed this bad. Riding tomorrow for sure.

Awesome Wednesday

We got 2'+ Drifts last night and the sun was out today.What a day. We now have a good base up top. We got a show at White Rock Lake a helicopter landing in the powder. My son on his XP said let's climb that hill so we did. The line over the top is Polaris. The line in the shade XP. He's bummed. After coming down that hill I find out how steep it was. Needed a break over looking Independence Lake. More snow, bring it on.

Bummer.... didn't see that post. Rode by your house on my way to Meadow Lake-- by myself. The snow we received was good, just need more, could feel the rock hard snow underneath when up on one ski.

The little hill next to Meadow Lake... every track is mine, since I didn't see anyone there...

Better tell your son the gas is on the right. That's the break on the left. lol
Now I have to come up and ride with you guys! I saw you coming out on wed. We were on our way in XP and CMX. I need a GPS or Topo map. I have no idea where you guys are riding but went to the sierraville T and came down back loop untouched untill it got thin.
I'm dying to find the hills I have been seeing you guys posting pic's on. My T-Yami is dying to get out of the trailer...

Snowing

Yes, we went to town yesterday and stocked up on food and beer. We got 12' of new snow out of this storm and it is heavy. Snowing up here now. Came down the road last night in my jeep and it was bumpy. Grooming is scheduled for today but there is pending paper work. Hoping Tim starts soon.

Awesome Snow

Lost my satellite internet for 24 hours. Went out yesterday and the 2 feet of sierra cement we had, froze up. Then we got 12" of fresh powder on top so you can go any were around here. Up top might be a different story.

Awesome Tuesday

We went up high today and the snow was great. Up high to the snow was set up with 12"+ powder on top. The drifts are big and there is a lot of trees down every were. Also look out for open creeks and sink holes in the meadows.

The storm we just had was like a 40 year anomaly.

Suppose to get a foot or two this Saturday - Sunday
