Free gas or not if you are Rexburg whatever it is and you see this thread you have to be thinking to yourself mother fudger this is not the kind of press we need. Then you go out in the shop and crack some heads.

like asking somebody to deliver free a big mac meal to your house and its cold.
its not mcdonalds fault you sat on the couch..

If it was half eaten then I would say it's their fault.

Apples to dog food comparison.

He provided a way for them to cover it, he bought a cover. Even if he didn't buy a cover I would expect them to have it covered for delivery. You put a used cover on it and use that as a chance to sell them a cover when they see how dirty the cover is once it gets there.

I would be positively pissed off, but all things considered it doesn't surprise me one bit. There seems to be a serious lack of brain cells everywhere you go anymore. I had a set of RSI bars installed on my new sled prior to pick-up, I told them I wanted them cut a little narrower, about 26" wide, if this would work. When I picked up the sled I had bars that were exactly 26" wide, but by the time they re-installed the throttle block and master cylinder there wasn't any room for your hand to hold on to the bars.:face-icon-small-con If you want something done right just take the time to do it yourself.

i would be cool if they tied a big ribbon on it and sang happy birthday in the driveway.but that dont happen for free.

Yeah I guess if it was his birthday and for some reason a random dealership was giving him a 12000 dollar gift??:face-icon-small-con Or they could simply do the job they offered to do in a professional manner, using the resources they'd been provided with aka the cover... I mean regardless of the sled being filthy whats your excuse for the driveway situation? Snowmobiler, can you honestly say if you were in this guys position (sled buyer) and your sled showed up like this you'd be pumped? "Hey man thanks a lot for the delivery, the sled looks great!" Probably not because you honestly don't know how the sled looks due to it being covered in filth. Of course you would be slightly concerned...some peoples kids...

i really wouldnt care.because i sat on the couch drinking beer while somebody brought it to me.id hose it off, look it over and go from there.then i would kick some gravel in the driveway patch job and go ride my new sled.

Wow, I would send this to Rexburg MS. They aren't going to like this.

All it takes is a printer and an envelope with a stamp on it. Address it to management.

If you're in business for any length of time, you MUST understand the customer is boss and is always right.

Either put the sled in the back of the truck, use a sled deck or use a damn cover. That is most. def. 100% unacceptable for a brand new never been used sled.

If it were an older sled, it wouldn't be such a big deal, but it is a BRAND NEW $12,000 vehicle, do you think a car dealership would sell you a NASTY dirty car? Nope- they would run it through the wash and fill the gas tank for you.

I think recreational dealerships need to take some lessons from the best car dealerships.

With the moved they pulled on this one they don't deserve a dime. Probably should take some money out of their own pocket and make it up to the guy. Straight up boneheaded move. How is it on that island?

Snowmobiler, you keep saying it was free so it's no big deal. Was it actually free though? I just read the post again and see no mention of it being free. Sorry, just trying to get the story straight. Anyways, free or not this was very unprofessional. If he did indeed pay to have it delivered, this would be completely unacceptable.

snowmobiler makes some good sense.

but yes it does put a bad name to rexburg..

not the bad as if they're a chitty dealership, i wouldnt know.

now all of snowest knows that rexburg has some half-brained employees that lack common sense, and dont even know how to tow a trailer.

rexburg needs some new employees.

When you do business with the lowest bidder,
how can you be shocked that you do not get top tier service?

Should the driver have covered the sled? Sure!
But he didn't.
You received the low bid service.
Hopefully the lesson has been learned & different future choices will prevent history from repeating itself.

Time to move on........What's next?

dirty sled

Was the dealer contacted and informed about the problem hard to bash the dealer if the delivery boy does this and dealer doesnt know about it?
