I get my a s s handed to me about everytime I go...But I win at the talking chit game just about every time out!!!

Talked to Jeff at about 10:30 AM and he was still in bed. Hadn't made it to the couch yet. I am very happy to hear he is staying down. he said he is spending the time planning hunts for next year...

Class of '69 - yep, 40 year reunion coming up, I'm old:eek:
Keeping Jeff in our thoughts and prayers. Good point, Rock.

Last time I was gone a week air lift in the Uintahs. Leave the country for a week and Jeff breaks his back. Bad news, hope he get's better quick!!!

This is Jeff saying "THANK YOU"

It has been a long three or four weeks... however I am feeling a little better every day. To update everyone on the damages:
compress fractures L4 & L5 & T12
lost 30-40% height of T12 and some bulging discs and some lesser damages and explanations only a doctor can understand. Doctor said I was very close to being paralyzed so I am thanking my lucky stars all the time. Recovery has been slow and frustrating and last Wednesday I tried to work a little & I over did it, which put me down for 4 days, so I think I will listen to doctors orders better this time around. I am confident that with time and rehab I will be back on the snow next winter and for sure I will be hunting this fall.
I never gave much thought to the kind of people I rode with throughout the years. But when something like this happens it really opens your eyes. Everyone definitely did their part in helping get me off the mountain and some of you have continued to keep in touch with me and I am forever grateful to all of you. I also want to thank everyone who kept me in their prayers too...
Last but not least I wanna thank my family(they have had to help me daily which is a daunting task) enough with the mushy stuff....

***********THANK YOU EVERYONE******************

attached is a picture scott took from the bottom of the cornice where I lay until life flight came.
