Island Park 20/21 Snow Conditions

Was back up there again yesterday and the snow was still VERY good.
Felt like a MUCH FIRMER base underneath the fresh snow from Sunday.

BLUEBIRD SKIES
Mid 20's
LOADS of untracked meadows to destroy
We spent the entire day just fooling around again.

Leaving driggs in the am headed to ip for the rest of the week. Snow here has been decent but not enough of it. I think they grow rocks around here.

If you are LUCKY, weds will bring us a nice little snowfall.
Friday could turn out to be a great day of sledding.
Then the next 5 days should see fresh snow everyday!!!

And those photos suggest far better than JUST DECENT???????
I know that valley;)
And that snow looked pretty damn good to me..

If I had a dollar for every time weather underground was wrong... This is where we are at the house. About a ft below normal. I hope that forecast is correct, but they're seldom right, and often wrong. So far la-Nina is turning out to be more like La-Nada
I have NEVER FOUND any weather forecast that is HIGHLY accurate.
But I do appreciate that they give me HOPE at least.

just remember, that inches day after day add up! Ha Ha That's what she said!! I remember when I first moved here, some old timer said... Hell William, up here we measure snowfalls by the foot. Well six yaers later I can count the 12"+ snows we've had probably on one or two hands. With that said, Chris is correct, though we like seeing 6"-8" drops instead of a measly 3"

Ya.
12" drops are VERY RARE in reality.
I am taking up 4 riders tomorrow
2 adults and 2 older teens who have never been here before.
Should be fun to see what we find
