This was a GOOD year.
But nothing even REMOTELY CLOSE historical EPIC years.

357 is EPIC!!

Is that "in town" total snowfall for Island Park?
Also, what's the source for these numbers? I was trying to find some of them and found 2 different articles saying that the AVERAGE snowfall for West Yellowstone is 166", which would probably conflict with the number here saying 168.5 is the 2nd place all-time record

US National Weather Service, Pocatello.
Couldn't tell you which sensor they used for generating this report.

96/97 was stellar in island park. We also went to west for new years and got rained on. Semis were stuck in the middle of the street by the stagecoach. Definitely one of my better year. Just wish we were riding what we have now. I remember a 125 inch base up the gallatin in march. Baker still had a 335 inch base at ski hill. I think that was their record year also.

Wonder how long it will be now before IP starts opening up for Mountain Biking.
The Melt is WELL underway now and will only accelerate as the weather begins to warm up
