Island Park Snow Conditions for 22-23 season.

Today was nothing short of EXTRAORDINARY.
Finally made it up to DRIGGS and rode Darby Canyon / Spring Creek for the first time this season.
The report showed 35" in the last 72hrs and I was expecting the whole dang mountain to have been OBLITERATED over the weekend.
WOW WAS I SURPRISED.

Hope to have some video this evening.

That had me grinning from ear to ear! Haven't been in that deep of powder yet, but it looks so fun...if not a little intimidating, considering how often I trench when it's not nearly that deep...

Glad you had an awesome day! :buttrock:

What made that especially fun was the AMAZING base under that 30 inches of powder.
Not once that day did I ever trench in.

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM MDT THURSDAY...
* WHAT...Heavy snow. Total snow accumulations of 10 to 16 inches, in the mountains above 6500 feet MSL and 6 to 10 inches in the valleys below. Locally higher totals in the Centennials.
* WHERE...Island Park and Kilgore.
* WHEN...Until 9 PM MDT Thursday.

The snow will be relentless. After light accumulations on Friday and Friday night, yet another storm moves in, dumping a lot of snow and bringing very strong wind almost everywhere, making Saturday a day to avoid travel if at all possible. We only wish this was an April Fools Day trick. There is no break in rain and snow until Tuesday.

Island Park is still on track for some good snow landing this weekend.
Early next week is likely the last of the good snow.
Temps start CLIMBING HARD by the end of the week.

Monday should be a good day of riding.
