From yesterray's ride

Discovered I have been cutting myself SHORT for years now.,
Always thought I was CLOSER to the national park boundaries than I actually was.
Did a screen capture from the GPS Tracker and measured out the actual distance to the park.

Here is the latest update on the snowfall forecast for the incoming storm. It will arrive in the middle of the day on Thursday, and may bring heavy high elevation snow and low elevation rain and snow to central and eastern Idaho. The first image is for Thursday through Thursday night, the second is Friday through Friday night.

Snow is on the way! First storm arrives this afternoon and continues through Friday. This first storm will produce heavy snow for our eastern highlands. Watch those passes! The second storm will produce more widespread snow because its colder and our winds turn northerly instead of those drying, southerly winds.

should have been a little on the chilly side up there for the last couple days.

Yesterday was COLD in the morning when we unloaded the sled at big springs, but got warmer the higher we climbed. On top of the ridge we could take off our gloves without issue, but as we began descending around 3:00pm it got bitterly cold. By 4 it was no fun at all to be on the mountain sleds. I saw windchill this morning at -45 in IP. That’s DAMN COLD...

Snow was coming down HARD ALL DAY LONG in IP today
Lord it was GORGEOUS today though. Loads of fresh snow everywhere, but lousy Vis.

Tomorrow should be great riding, but probably poor visibility
Weds the same
THURSDAY could be a GREAT day with a little sun poking through the clouds.

Some friends want me to go with them to IP this weekend, how much fresh snow is there over there? We just got a ton in mccall so not sure if it would be worth it?
