That's too bad on a brand new sled. Mine gave up last week but at least it was broke in (3500 miles on the M7). But at least your not paying for yours

Look at the brite side, A good time for some ported cyl. maybe a head. Do you think it burned up or something mecanical like a retainer or ring pin?

definately mechanical-40 mph and cruising out and weird noise and stopped..

found out this weekend they run quite warm on the trail also, it had some loose snow on it also but it still got hot, had to run scratchers where you would never think of running them.

That sounds like what happened to my 1000 last year--had a light knock and poof

But it launched the rod thru the case--I have never seen that much white smoke in my life--WOW

My dealer had me up and running in a week with a new motor--Hope you get the same from your dealer!!

sled did run great today till----- only good thing was i got to take a friend who had been out of snowmobiling for about 4 years-he took a road trip to salt lake city and got a new 154 x--WELCOME Back Big Johnson--

Sorry to hear about your XP. On my way home from riding this afternoon I had a drunk driver rear end my sled trailer and total it. My sled seems fine and will investigate tomorrow.

I lost a rod on an 02 ZX 800, and they had me back out on the snow 4 days later. Seems like some things don't improve year over year.

Everybody griped about the XRS sleds last year, but I haven't had nearly the problems with my 07 XRS that everyone seems to be having with these new-fangled XP's.

You'd think that the motor and electrical issues (considering the changes that they published) would have been addressed, and the failures would be solely drive train and chassis stuff.
