is a 600 big enough

From the time I started mountain riding with the "wild bunch," which was basically the guys my dad went to school with, I have been on the smaller sled. This happened until I was able to buy the brand new, bad a$$ 99 700 RMK. All was good. Then I made the mistake of buying an 08 700 rmk when everyone else that I rode with bought 800 XP's and Dragons. Once again I was suckin the hind tit. I am not a "mines bigger than yours" kind of guy, but at the end of the day when the smaller sleds are out of fuel from having to hit the hill twice or go the long way it is very frusterating. Did I enjoy the smaller sleds? Yes, it made me a better rider for sure. To tell you the truth, I would love it if every one in our group went back to the 600 class. We have been talking about this for 5 years or so. I think that a 600 would be alot of fun, I think the 660 would be super fun. But you could buy a 700 or possibly even an 800 for what a sled + a 660 kit would cost. How bout a 600 with a little hairdryer attached to it, now were talkin. :beer; Here's to leaving the hind tit to someone else

I'd buy another 600 in a heartbeat. Need to fix the '08 again though. . . 7k miles and need a piston, jug, and head again. Still love it though, and that is what the '07 is for a backup that runs awesome.

Marv1 Have you put all those miles on yourself? Thats a lot of riding. I rented a 07 700 Dragon at west yellowstone once with almost 8000 miles. Still ran good! Keep on driving!

I am 18 and still in high school. I ride a D8 and love it. My sister rides a 07 600 and I love to hop on it and ride it. Her "little" 600 is an excellent machine and I would highly recommend one to anyone of any age and they will love it!

MARV1, You might want to explain the massive "trail system" you have out in Kotlik!

lol..I put 7000 miles on running my trap line one year..most years went 5000 miles...bought alot of gas and oil back then......you have to understand..where Marv lives..his sled is his car...they cover alot of ground up there....huh marv?...:beer;:beer;

Yup, sure do cover alot of ground out here from freezeup to breakup. Run the snot outa them, but I do take care of my sleds enough to let them last over 10k miles and sell them to the younger guys around that can't afford a newer one. Depressing how the snow situation is out here lately and the price of fuel is expensive. Used to be able to go 10k in one season easily, now it is more like 6k tops.
Sorry to go off topic but had to "explain" a bit. And yes, if I had better snow conditions then I'd have 2k miles this season already. 500 or so on the '08 and about 450 on the '07 which my son put on most of them.
