IQR Mountain Pics

Sleds?

B.O.C. where is pics of your new sleds and the ones that I seen in your shop? They are sweet and need to be shown off on this thread!! Dont be shy, post them up Spank!

Its got a different body for one. I believe the chassis is real similar but the IQr has 11.5" front travel. And everything seems more "bulked" up for racing. Different chaincases. The IQr has stiffining bars from the bulkhead to the steering hoop. Ya, its a different animal.

so then what makes this sled so special?

You don't have to worry about that 4" hemlock in the middle of your line, just grab a handful and bounce off it. Try that on a consumer sled and you'll be out some plastic and front-end parts. That's pretty special to me.

they are much lighter, much stronger, have better suspension and are quite a bit more rider forward than the assault or rmk raw chassis. The only reason I can figure that polaris hasn't marketed the race chassis in rmk trim is that it would cost them more to build it.....have a look at the bulkhead design it really is a piece of art

This one?
I built 4 Blue ones, let me know which one I will post it.

Man is that a sweet lookin ride!!!! Im not a polaris guy but I could see myself riding tha if I didnt have a couple cats already. Nice job on that build. I like seeing that milling/drilling/ lathe/everything machine in the background, in the other pic..........

How about some weights on these sleds? I think the lightest one I have seen was a mostly Titianium, 155" track and a 797 high compression motor with a single. Evols up front and floats outback. Full of coolant and ready to ride except dry fuel tank at 400 lbs. It had a nine gal rr tank so you can do the math on what the fuel weighed. Its pretty cool when three guys can easily pick up a complete sled and put it in your truck. :D

SLEDIOT...........that's the blue sled I bought off Winter last year. Winter does an AWESOME job at building these sleds, and I must admit that I love mine. The handling is second to none. Great, great, great sled.

Winter.........looks like another batch of sweet sleds for this year. I noticed that you're put a little longer track than the 144's from previous. Are you thinking this is the way to go now??? Also, not a finger track any more???

Hello Sky, I hope you are well, I did 3 150s this year and a 155, I was going to do a 144 for myself but ran out of $$$, I think the 150 will be very close to the 144, the finger track is for sure a good all arounder but we went with the 2.5 paddles on this years sleds, I will let you know how they compare with what you have, I think if you really want to do some big drops and have the sled hold up to missed landings a 144 is about all I would be comfortable with.

Red Baron

This one is a new 2008 and is for sale, it has a 155 and the new very strong 600 w/800 bottom end. Lots of 800 and BB kits available for it, BOC makes a very reasonable 800 kit for this motor. 1500-1800 bucks, can't beat that.
