Summary for those falling behind.

We were trying to get kurt out of bed this AM to turn on the lights so we could see the webcam..
As of 10 am this morning Central time Kurt reported that he had 14 inches of fresh snow on the parking lot and it was still snowing hard.
We are all giving Big D crap about being mamby pamby in regards to B-'s snow prediction. And Kurt declared a winner:) (recount still in progress)
there was discussion about putting a snow pole in Kurts Yard.
Groomers have not been out yet and the local businesses are getting a little restless..the grooming budget got cut way back so expect less grooming this year overall.

Lots of other posts but this is just a summary...

Black bear only seems to send a snow depth at midnight.
it was at 48.5 at midnight last night..BEFORE it started snowing. so add 4 to that for what fell already this morning so possibly now at 52.5 and another 6 today it will be at 58.5......
I like my prediction :) and free BEER

Yes 14" to 16" of new snow in town since last night. With another 6" to 8" by tomorrow morning. Then another system moving in Sun night into Mon afternoon. There was not much for a base as of a week ago, but would bet it has settled since then. With what new we had in town I would venture a guess of 3 to 4 feet up high..................

This is very good!!!

This is not good at all!

Thanks for the update. BTW I thought the grooming was paid for by local businesses (hotels, restaurants, etc) and permits. If so why the cutback? The season has barely started and no one is there spending money yet.

Was out yesturday and there was not much snow in town West Yellowstone

About a foot. Trail is a little thin down low, but up high is pretty good. A lot of wind blown spots, but down in the trees is good. Got into some snow that was more then waist deep(and I'm 6'3"). Not a lot of base. When you step off, you go to the bottom, but the sleds stay on top pretty good. We didn't hit much and we didn't break anything.

Well we pushed snow ALL DAY and worked on snow removal equipment. In fact we just got home from a long day. Tomorrow we deliver sleds to Bozeman, and push more snow. Looks like we might be able to go for a short ride on Sunday. Sleds were rolling into town most of the day, but didn't get a chance to talk to anyone..............:(

We got about 6 inches in SW minnesota this morning, Big D do you get to stay home from school today!?! I'm going out to get the mod running today so i can pound some ditches for a few days.

will be in taylors fork today...if we get pics, we will post them, but think it might be a little too cold to do cameras, as it is showing it as -24 in west right now...and warming to a balmy zero...

we were in Buck Creek yesterday...was not much snow on the hills, but as Kurt mentioned staying in the trees was better...
