Guess I should add my name to the Colo Gimp Crew....March 14, plateau fracture left leg, fun helicopter ride out of flattops, pilot would not do a fly over of the crash scene at my request, must have been the pain meds, Gyp 80 I see you got a souvenier cup at the hospital also...keep those pain meds close by, now that I can't ride I wish the weather would improve, selfish request I know

im in the same boat.. i kinda want the snow to melt too.. yea i got a couple of those cups now!
i didnt take any pain meds till i got to the hospital!! im keepin up with the meds cuz the pain sucks!!
Hey m80, the list gets longer..lol. Hope everyone is well this Easterday! I've got it easy. I just have to wait for some bumps and bruises to go away. Now you guys.....not so much! Listen to the doctors so that you will all heal correctly. I think your thread may get larger M80!

Broken leg
Broke my leg well snowmobiling on Aprill 4th.Doing a little boondocking when i wheelied my sled right over backwards,could not get all of my body out of the way when the sled came over the handle bars hit my leg and busted my themier bone left leg{not sure if i spelt that right,but it is a larger bone to break.
Should be able to do one more ride at the end af may,depending on the snow in the mountains.

At least I have a decent story but my injury is one of the worst but I am not paralyzed so I can't complain to much.
I am about a inch shorter though

well on the christmas day of 07 i blew out my knee completly and ended up having surgery on my minescis and then was finally riding by mid febuary with a brace, this year i am still riding with a brace with no ACL. have a surgery comming up either this summer or the next.

hate to join list list ..but
12-31-08, my 1st trip to mountains(Idaho), Mt Jefferson, have 09m8153 sp, Got to ride maybe 3 to 4 hours. Coming out of a very cool climbing area coming over a ridge had to be either a skido,polaris or yammy hole that somone had gotten stuck . I was pinned climbing ,ski's in the air by the time i saw it was to late, ending up above the hole but still going up hill my right foot stayed with sled and my body wrapped around the right front of sled. I was life flighted to Idaho falls to have surgery, 8 breaks , now have 2 plates and 16 screws. I have 157 miles on my sled. I go to doctor this thursday and hope he gives me the go to ride , plan on going to the bighorns for one more ride before season is over

yeah thanks! it wasn't the greatest 4 miles back to my uncles house in the dark...
lol i was riding in a swamp like thing and came across one of the water drainige creek things for the spring runoff and i saw it it to late in my head light and just decide to try to jump it but when i cased the other side the impact just made my knee go out so there i was! laying in the snow! lol good thing i had my cousin with me to help me over to my sled and start it back up for me!so every one be sure you always have somebody with you!!! never ride alone!!!!

wow! crazy stuff! glad your still alive by the sounds of it!
i hope your doctor apointment goes well for ya!
my doctor says i shouldn't be riding but he said as long as i wear my brace i can but i have to be careful, which i am less then half the time.
