MPS-
don't you have any that have been confiscated lately? i bet the price is right on some of those.
I would try cycletrader.com alot of guys selling some nice bikes for decent prices in there. If you want a 2 stroke and can live without a 4 stroke I have seen some really nice 08 yz 250s with really low hours sell for $3k. Used MX bikes dont hold their value very well. I would also check websites that specialize in selling crashed stuff. I found a mx bike at crashedtoys.com 2 years ago that needed a sub-frame, pipe, and fender and it was good to go. Picked up the bike for $1800 and sold it for $3500 after sticking $400 into it. I know there are some bank repos on sites like that as well.
agreed on crashedtoys...my dad has bought several things off of them. Can find some pretty easy fixes for the right price usually! Kind of a drive though...I would try cycletrader.com alot of guys selling some nice bikes for decent prices in there. cragslist.com!
i got a 05 ktm 300 2 banger for $2500 and its the fastest bike i have evr been on! IMO, get a ktm, they seem to hold their value better.
Ktm 200's are great inexpensive bikes. Any ktm would be a good reliable bike. What are you looking to do with it?
thanks peeps! i appreciate it! i am looking to do mostly trails and climb some narly chit
im not into dune riding much
My father-in-law rides a KTM 200 and the thing will dang near climb a tree in first gear.
How big are ya?
If you want a bike ready to hit the trails with minimal tweaking, get a KTM. Put the front tire where you want and just go.
2000.00 and its your's. bought it when I got out of the N@&y built it crash proof. then rode it for one year (ok i'm a looser) had kids and parked it.

look at the KTM 300. Probably one of the most popular trail bikes around as far as 2 strokes go.
