i think progressive is the biggest jerks

I agree 100 percent. Had a pickup stolen a few years back. They had a loophole in their policy and I was out 20 grand.

progressive

had a claim on my cat sled and they f--k around for 2 weeks and then would not do any thing .. would not give them jerks time of day ..
that is lame they treated me completely the opposite, i had hit a tree on a sunday ride, totalled my doo, dropped her off at doo dealership monday morning, tuesday morning, claims guy looked at sled, wendsday morning isurance check at doo dealership, thursday morning, had new x in back of truck. couldnt of been happier.

Sometimes I wonder how much is the insurance company and how much of it is the insurance seller. I've heard some people say terrible things about State Farm, for instance, but I've had that insurance since I turned 18 and my rep has never turned down a claim for me, nor has he ever jacked my rates. I wonder how much the reps make the decisions?

A few years back I was hit by somebody in my truck, I contacted his insurance company (Allstate) and they said they were busy and would call me back the next week. I ended up calling them twice a week for two months before I contacted the driver and we both called them once a day for another week before they sent somebody out to get an estimate, and after that it took about a month to get a check. Luckily I only had to zip-tie a headlight in and bend the hood so it would latch to drive it, if I was out my truck that long I would have freaked out.

Best thing to do with ANY claim...drop it off at the dealer and let them call your agent/company...they have far more experience on how to handle this than we do,and they know just what to say/who to call to get it done.
Had a bike wreck years ago,my dealer told me to wait 2 days to bring it in,I asked why and he said there was 1 adjuster he wanted to use and I needed to wait till he was on shift...bam 8 grand,no issues done deal..

The quickest and easiest way to deal with a problem company is to go straight to your state's insurance commission. I had to do this a few years ago and it was handled immediately in my favor.
