Hyfax Rail Fastener

Anybody noticing shredded end caps on 22’s? I’ve looked at 6 today and all the caps are shredded bigtime.

Yes, I replaced mine twice on the ‘22 before going to IceAge rails. 3.5 pitch

Same here, original caps on my ‘22 were really pitted/gouged on the leading face. IceAge rails and caps on there now, and showing signs of similar. Easily replaceable wear item I guess, saving hyfax from ripping off. I’d go IceAge kit if I had a ‘24.

My buddy ran me over last week on his M8000, whisky throttled in reverse, in the midst of dealing with other low snow induced carnage. My leg is fearsome bruised and I too have resorted to the puzzle table, love your setup Dave 😂

You’ll have to trust me. Not fake news. I either left my phone at the puzzle table or the make shift pickle ball court. I have obviously given up on life with this no snow BS and supporting Polaris. All sleds less than 500 miles. The 23’s looked okay.View attachment 413517View attachment 413518

Keep us posted on what Polaris says.

'Went out to check my new '24 9R Khaos 165" after reading thru this post. Two break in rides around 25 miles each, came off on second ride somewhere.....we'll see how Polaris warranty goes on this one.
Hate to say, but Par for the course. Pictures of left side missing, and right side.
Getting back with an update.
Got my sled back from dealer yesterday, under warranty Polaris replaced left rail (rail hyfax came off) and put two new hyfax on and re-shaped fronts of them. Hum. Polaris didn't have green rail so sent a black one until green back in stock. I feel good about Polaris putting sled back together and getting it back to me, don't care about waiting for another new rail, but still curious and waiting to see if Polaris publicly acknowledges its a problem still. I don't believe for 23K I should have to put a fix (even if it's $70 bucks) on a new sled, if it happens again Polaris can keep fixing and replacing parts until they come up with right fix. Unfortunately, low tide in these parts, so will probably not test it out for a week or so.

This issue is not happening on my 146”, seems to be isolated to the 3,5” and I have still 2,86”. Did grind a bit just to be safe, but there is no wear visible. Also the elongation is less in the beginning with the series 6.

I may be wrong but this is what I see as part of the problem. The hyfax retaining bolt has been moved to far back and is in a relieved spot in the hyfax.
The track is pulling the front of the hyfax off the rail and breaking it at the bolt.
I would drill a retaining bolt hole in the forward window and add another screw. I’m going to do that to my personal sled. I will also add larger anti stab wheels and taper the front of the hyfax.
The track clips are banging on the front of the rail as you can see in this picture. It looks very close to stabbing the track.
The rail tip is much shorter in ‘24 as well.

I have done this and the problem is when u remove the material in the hifax for the bolt head there is not much ware material left and the front of the hifax where they directly contact the track making the hifax ware very aggressively

I stopped by my dealer today and he told me that factory hyfax were on back order until March. Not sure if other dealers have any. Just saying
