So I have a big old raccoon living underneath my shed. When i was in there today, I could hear him hissing, and making raccoon sounds. Also I have a crazy dog that just barks at it. So how do I go about getting rid of it?

Traps placed where he comes in and out. you can tell from the worn track. Or just sit out some night with some beers and a gun.

take a paper plate or whatever, put some cat food or dog food on it (or, the nastiest stinkiest chit you can find.. set it out there.. sit back with a few beers.. wont be long, take a pellet gun and pop him one right in the melon..

Nothin better than a good 'coon baitin'.
take a dozen mothballs and toss them into where he's shacked up...gone by the next day

Growing up, after a day of pheasant hunting we used to toss the remains in the hay loft where they were shacked up at. Sit and wait downstairs drinking beers. Soon as we hear them upstairs we would run up with baseball bats and golf clubs and whack them to death. In the summer we'd do the same thing only along the river with dead fish. Old woods work OK, a pitching wedge, Sand Wedge and 9 Iron work pretty good and carves a rug!

I grabbed a big female by the tail one spring from under a rockpicture a 30lb coon in one hand and a big stick in the other, now imagine everytime you bat the coon away from the arm your holding it with it grabs the big stick away and hisses

buy a large live trap. bait it with peanut butter in a popcan, place by his exit . you will have caught him in less than 30 mins
. give him a .22 lead pill in between his mask.
