How about some ride reports form guys that have the new boost

I haven’t called my dealer. They’ll call me as soon as the EGT arrives. I’m sure they need to free up either floor or storage space! Hope to be riding somewhere in 2 weeks. Might be using my old iron, oh well.

I’m packed and prepped!
Ready when you are!

Just got mine on Saturday and had a few problems in only 15 miles: first thing I noticed was that the matryx side panels are a bit loose and rattling. I may put some rubber tensioners on the panels. Second was an under hood rattle. It ended up being the aluminum battery shield on my starter battery- barely any clearance between that and the quick drive belt. I removed it for now. Third was that my starter quick working. Looks like a bad ground and I will look into that.
But most surprising was a ‘MODERATE DETONATION DETECTION” warning that flashed whenever I got on it a bit. Has anyone seen that warning yet? Any thoughts on that one?
Otherwise the machine rips. It feels like it handles and turns better and I’m looking forward to solving these problems soon.

From what I understand the Boost may be very picky with wanting good gas. At the very least 91 octane non ethanol. I’ll be considering adding a gallon +/- of race gas with each fill up to help keep detonation out of the question.

I got mine out on Staturday snow condition were perfect. that new tunnel incredible bowtie when you want soo easy. engine wise I got 1 bog on 60KM ride , down side is that the snow get in as crazy resulting in slipping drive belt need to find prefilter to use on the hood to cover this multiple hole.

I got a 3' x 5' sheet of frogskinz mesh on the way. Going to make vents for a couple sleds.

I rode mine for the first 7 miles last night because thats all that time allowed. all trail with 18"+ of fresh. It feels very similar to last years Axys but definitely refined. quicker and faster on reaction time. less effort for sure. I cant wait to try it in deep snow on a hillside. the power was quick and hard. ut I'm also not used to boost. The biggest notice was how much room in the cockpit, very narrow tank. lots of room for knees to go wherever you want them. sled is going to be fun!!

I know that was not enough time but at least I got to feel it roar. Oh and the new gauge is top notch.

Pretty stoked on mine.

Hoping fuel mileage improves out of break in mode.

40 miles and I was out of gas.

I can't imagine the break in is 10 hours of 5500 RPM. I wouldn't think I have come anywhere close to that.

Read the manual. Just going off memory
2 hours fuel adds 2 %
10 hours oil adds 15%
Above 3500 rpm

Double fail ends in triumph..... No shovel required when I caught a snow loaded tree in the shoulder and clipped a second tree. Video flattens out the pitch. I came to a stop pointed uphill in deep snow. IceAge Hellfire 9" wheels allowed me to back up and make another run at it. Patriot Boost just works.

2022 Khaos Boost 155 — stretched to 165 on Ice Age Rails and 9” Ice Age Hellfire wheels.
