HORRIBLE END to a great day and a new sled…

Yes, superclamps are a good clamp.
No, they are not the only good clamp.
Especially for the money.

Bought a new trailer this evening.
Same as the trailer that the sled rolled off of, but a Double Axle version a couple feet longer.
Will be MUCH easier to strap the sleds down now.
Manufacturer is going to install some centerline tie down points for me as well so there is somewhere to anchor the straps to.

And I am working on a set of Super Clamps, front and rear as well.;)

Cut your loss and headache and move on. Alot easier to get a new sled then rebuild that and possibly have problems down the road.

Its NOT an either this or that scenario.

Will get a brand new sled this week.
AND
Possibly work to rebuild the wrecked one over the summer.
My uneducated guess is the buy-back number is too high. Hard to say for sure: it depends on whether you could get some of the parts used, and/or how much of what's on the estimate you actually need. Some of that stuff has to be reusable, but even if there's $3-4k of parts you don't actually need, you're not making much rebuilding it and selling it - not considering the time involved. Parting it might be a better option, but could also be more hassle than it's worth. Any idea if you can make an offer on the buy-back? If so, I'd lowball them and see where it goes. If you can get it back cheap enough, it's a no-brainer, but $8k might be too much.
