Insurance finally made me an offer today.
I paid $25,541.33 OTD for the customized sled.
They are depreciating $1,501.47 for the couple weeks I owned the sled.
And offering to sell the totalled sled back to me for $8,411 if I want to take it on as a summer rebuild project.

Considering how the loss occurred, $2500 is nothing but a valuable lesson. A lesson in investing in some Superclamps!

Few years ago, saw a Superduty in the ditch off 1-80, whole trucks right side was in there, probably a good 30-35* angle. Sleddeck with two sleds on top, hadn't moved an inch...any guess what he had securing them down?

Seen plenty of times they failed.
And no, Broken in two was not user error.
