HORRIBLE END to a great day and a new sled…

wait you're considering buying another trailer from people who think clamping down one outside edge was enough? hmmm... I might be going after their insurance company! wow

Careful with that 'glove box', I would expect it to rip them straps off like a band-aide if ya corner hard with that sum-bitch loaded up, good lord!
So its really not the trailer's fault.
Fact of the matter is, the sled WAS still bolted to the trailer.
The issue was the trailer user being SLACK and not having attached the tie-down straps.
Can't blame them for that.
They did offer to remove and remain the side mount for free, and offered to build me a longer trailer as well.

And to be perfectly honest, there are a lot of times I just don't need nor want to tow the full size trailer.
So for me, I think having TWO trailers really will be a very good solution going forward.

I will have them build me one with CENTER LINE tie-down points, and perhaps 18" longer total length.
Then it should be a breze to strap the sleds down when needed.

And I will probably get a pair of Super Clamps as well.

As for the Glove box.
WORST LOOKING accessory Ski-Doo ever offered.
But it WORKS SOOOO DAMN WELL.
That little "Heated Cell Phone" holder on the front of it is a GOD SEND for taking photos and videos, and for the required interface for the 10.25" screen.
It can be way into the negative temps and I can take my HOT phone out of the holder and it works perfectly,
Don't have to fumble for it or unzip my Avy Vest to get at it.

^I wouldn't want to lose my phone in a nasty sled wreck, :) My suit has a cell size interior breast pocket which is handy enough (not quite your quick draw) and heated by me and also safer imo, keeping all communication devices on you.... anyway, just throwing that out there, good luck with the sled.

I keep my InReach on me for true emergencies.

This illustrates the little Cell Phone holder in action pretty well.

Going to strongly disagree with that there. That trailer has some flimsy sheet metal connected to a rusty u-bolt and only on the outside ski spindal.

Its the trailer clamps fault they suck lol.

I already posted this earlier, but my buddy bought an old sled deck that has some weird similar type of tie down only on the outside ski. He removed that junk and got superclamps.

The trailer HAS a tie down point in the mid-front.
I simply failed to use it.

The trailer HAS a rear tie down bar.
I also failed to use it.

Can't blame the trailer for my negligence.

Had I attached those two straps none of this would have happened.

Again sorry your sled got chewed up. but even the other old school hand crank mounts across both ski's would be better than a flipy floppy ubolt on only the outside ski, that doesn't clamp anything down even. My old 2 place trailer has the old hand crank ones that you crank down across both ski's. They are annoying get ice in the bolt hole and then don't want to thread in. But I replaced them with a super hook for super clamps. done deal. its not moving.

I made a terrible mistake once too but somehow lucked out. attached my 2 place trailer but the trailer hitch lock didn't lock. I drove to the store with it just "sitting" on the ball. before I noticed it. had I hit a big bump it might have been dragging down the road by the saftey chains lol.

Also this post makes me want to take my own advice and put superclamps in my enclosed 20' burant trailer. I do strap it down in there by the bumpers, but thats probably not good enough. ( seen pictures of peoples sleds flipping over in a trailer, or smashing the walls or going out the front lol )

Ya, I was pretty good about STRAPPING my sleds in the trailer.
