HORRIBLE END to a great day and a new sled…

So I called the guy that made my little trailer and had a chat with him.
He asked why I had failed to tie the spindles together or to starp down the tunnel.
Mentioned to him that strapping the tunnel was a major pain as the sled is longer than the trailer and hangs off the back end.
Offered to extend the trailer to solve the problem.
That alone would have stopped this failure from happening.
So for a short term mid-season solution I might just go that route before getting a whole new trailer next summer built.
That trailer looks PLENTY long... run a strap somewhere through the skid, lots of options there. Like said above the actual tunnel is a terrible place to have any sort of strap anyway.

yeah you don't need a new trailer, the sled still may have slid off if you don't secure the rear of the sled down. pass a ratchet strap thru the skid and then both ends back to a ledge or lip on the bottom of the trailer. easy day, takes me all of 2 minutes to secure my sled with straps.

Weld or bolt a tiedown here. Run strap to that so u will have some down force, it will be more secure and work for 2 sleds.
