Having trouble building boost

Lookin for some help. I have an 09 M8 with the cutler stage 2 kit on it. It has the low boost actuator and the hallman boost adjuster. The problem I am having is I can't build more than 7lbs of boost. I've checked all the connections and everything seems good from the turbo to the throttle bodies. There are no leaks in the pipe either. I've tried turning the boost controller all the way out both ways with no change. I have a high boost actuator but my buddy says with the boost controller all the way closed there is no air getting to the low boost actuator therefore the wastegate should stay closed building more boost.Does this make sense? I thought that maybe the low boost actuator was maybe only capable of a certain amount of boost, hence high and low boost applications. Should I just throw on the high boost actuator or am I missing something else. One more question, could it be the adjustable BOV bleeding off the boost while on the throttle. Could the spring be worn out or maybe weak? Thanx for any help guys.

Just had a simliar problem with my 1000 and found that the hose from my attitude box
was leaking. If you contact Derek at Attitude or Dale at Culters they will help you out with the updated hose.

Took another look at the sled today and noticed the hose coming out of the attitude box has some cracks in it where it bends down and goes into the loom down the steering post. I'm guessing this is my problem? Can I buy the hose from anywhere other than Cutler or Attitude? Anybody have the size or psi rating I would need? Where does this hose tie into? Thanx for all the help guys.

If you follow the hose from point A to point B, you will see where it is tied in to. You can take it to a supply store as a sample piece and they should be able to match it up with something for you. There isn't a PSI rating for this hose that you need to worry about.

What color is the tubing that you have? I have the soft black tubing that came with my kit. It's almost like a neoprene material. Is this the same as yours?

Ya it sounds like the same tubing. One more question for you guys that are running the hallman boost controller. Does it matter if the controller is mounted vertically or horizontal? All the pictures I have seen show it in the horizontal position. Mine is vertical but I don't remember if it was horizontal when I moved it when I bought the sled. I guess I'm just wondering if it affects the internals and function of the controller in different positions?

It shouldnt as there is only air going thru it.

FYI - dont mount it on your handle bars. I have seen to many guys have issues.
