Got to ride my girl in the Washington powder (2') last Wednesday and well, she needs more power! I had a riot on a few hills sidehilling back and forth to get to the top. Not so much of a riot on one steep hill..... lol Gave her all she had, all I had and got DENIED! lol I was almost ticked... the turbos were on top of the hill having giggles at me. oh well. She is definitely nimble and fun, but when you run out of poop... you run out of poop! hehe Running her through the trees is alot less work.....
I feel more narrow, (my butt looks smaller on this sled!)
like I can squeek through tighter areas.
The other difference is I'm use to pulling up to the bottom of the hill, gunning it and going over. Now, I start 100' back, full throttle never let out til I top out. In some situations, I miss the old. But it's kinda fun this way. This is reminding me how fun it is to fight your way there....
The a-arms are such a huge improvement over t-arms for sidehilling. She is so stable and effortless on a nice long sidehill. The bumps on the trail are more manageable w/ them as well.
In the heavy snow I have gotten brushed off a few times when going downhill and cutting her back up. Don't think there is anything I can do about that except not to cut up as tight of a U. But that is so fun........
Moved the bars forward and that helped. This week she is getting the Better Boards. I've almost busted my chops on the running boards after they got packed w/ snow...... Man I hate cutting up a perfectly good sled! Also getting a riser. I tried it with out, just need more height.
But, what the heck is up w/ starting these things? The 1150 was hand bruising to start, but if I pulled hard and fast I could get it started w/ about 2' of the cord. This little bugger will not start, no matter how hard or fast I pull, until I reach the end of the cord! What is that all about?
Anyhow, that's the update.
