For those of you that don't know me.. I've got a Cat based 1150 in an 02 Edge chassis. Been my beloved  baby for many years now.... until this past weekend you couldn't have pried her from my DEAD COLD HANDS.

But, I might have seen the light of the newer chassis.........

I'm seriously contemplating going to a Dragon, will have one for the weekend to make up my mind.

The pros and cons as I see it...

I'm very nervous about losing 50hp.
I'll also lose about 35#s.
Will get a newer easier to maneauver nimble chassis.
No more race fuel.
Will lose the bruises on my hands from starting the 1150.... lol
Won't be the chick on the badass mod sled. :(
Haven't had that new sled feeling for 5 years.......

I might need a 12 step program for this.......:face-icon-small-con

Bought an 06 RT 1000 and would not ever ride a mod sled again.

No more fiddling and working on the sucker.... never have the hood up...Throw it on the trailer and put oil and gas in it and have an absolute ball on the hill.

I swear same as you are thinking with less HP it rides every bit as good if not better than my mod ever thought of. The suspension is NIGHT and DAY from what I had.

All the boys can live on their CG dreams and you can enhance your day on the hill X 10

I say go for it and enjoy.... Welcome to the "NEW" fold sista

I have both and love both but NO RACE FUEL IS REALLY NICE get gas in the middle of the night anywhere.

Some pulls when the ski are on the ground you wish you had that 50+ ponies.

They both have their place and time for sure.

Have fun you will like it, just keep it pinned......can't feather the throttle like you can with 200++++++++ponies....

I might try to ride a Dragon first! My buddy has a rev that I rode over my old ZX mod, I actually prefer the ZX! I don't know why, the rev is a great platform but just doesn't fit me.

If its what you wanna do , do it!
If you miss the hp then visit Mr. Struther or stick a turbo on it or both!

Easy, buy the 700 Dragon and Jack's 840 kit... then you have the light weight, pump gas and lots of HP.

Get the Dragon B!

Fun sled eh??

You will love the ride up to the alpine too! Handles the bumps and you will wish that the days were longer.

I find the dragon a well balaced machine, it took me 30 seconds to get the feel, carving like I rode it for 3 years.

HP... well you might miss that, but keep the old mill and do a retrofit!

yes the new dragon chassi is nice i rode it for 4 days with the 700mill in it very nice sled ,easy all around to ride & was a blast on the trail great transition from sitting to standing.but just does not have the power for me after riding a 300hp turbo 4 but it could be allot of fun with a turbo then you wont miss the race gas or the power.its a tough one iam in the same boat with my old vec vs the new nytro the new chassis are just so nice to ride.hhhmmmmmm decisions decisions:D:beer;

Buy it and ride it for a while.......if you miss the hp and the feeling of have a power house on the hill.....Its an easy fix TURBO IT....your welcome

I gave up my Union Bay 900 when I went to my new M8. I can actually go more places with this chassis than I could on my Edge w/ VE tunnel. I loved that sled don't ge me wrong but I do have more all around fun on my new sled. I have "adjusted" it a little since it was new though.
