Greenrock conditions

Hey there's a great filming opertunity...have a sled using that 40ft drift as a ramp and do a jump over one of the snowplows as it goes by,:peace:

Much snow!!

Hey all, Make sure you save these memories of snow, so when the conservationists start yelling about how we are killing the grasses and plants that are under the snow, we can show them these pictures and ask, "How can a snowmobile ever come close to destroying the grasses and flowers when there is 9 to 40 ft. of snow on top of it?" We have to stick together! I already posted on the Laramie Boomerang wepage in response, hope more people follow and do the same. We have to keep this beautiful place a place for everybody, not just a few.

We are killing the grasses and flowers by compacting the snow on them...you didn't know? :face-icon-small-dis

That is ridiculous... wonder if we will ever see that in our lifetime again? Did I see a reference to the "snow in the bushes" in those comments on the paper article.

Unbelievable some people. I just posted on the Laramie Boomerang about this subject. I work based out of the Laramie area for an environmental company(last 12 years) and I have conducted hundreds of vegetation studies on my own time pertaining to this subject when it started several years ago! Complete LIES!!! There is no proof of degraded vegetation or compaction of "mole furrows" that I have seen. I told a certain individual to provide FACTS-if he does which he can't I will provide my FACTS for him!

Snowies on the 14th

Was up there on Saturday and was sourly dissapointed, wasn't really expecting a whole lot, but the fog pretty much ruined any hopes of testing out the new 154 on the REV. Got some good pics though!

The day started off decent, except where the hyfax's on the IQR melted to the clips on the track!

Had to get a pic of the Poo on the doo trailer!

The plows are about a mile past the gate and the drift in the picture makes the 13 foot blower look like a childs toy.

There is alot of snow but its hardpacked. Defiinately need ice scratchers to keep the sled cool and prevent hifax meltdown.

It's raining like cats and dogs here in fort Collins,,,please someone say it's snowing up at the range:becky:

OK late season riders,as of today at4:00pm @ mile post38 it was snowing hard we received at least 6" that was plowed off the road and it was still coming down hard, snow was getting thin down at green rock but you can still unload stay to the n. side of 130 and watch for the tank traps......

I believe that... Its snowing here AGAIN!! I would be happier if I hadnt already summerized the sleds. Then...:noidea: watching the news, they are calling for 8, YES EIGHT inches in the hills.

My weather radio went off last night. It said to expect from 7"-14" above 7000' over the next 24-36 hours. Just talked to a friend in Lander and they are expecting 2'-3' (yup, FEET!). There's still hope for the hy-fax....:face-icon-small-coo
