green water?

Another cluster f*** today. The whole turnaround was full this time, even had snowmobilers parked in it. Glad we were early and I could back my trailer between rigs to turn around. Even a motor home parked there, right in front of the no parking sign. Is it the Forrest Service that manages that snow park?

ya same thing and lucky i could turn around the 24' trailer hope f.s starts ticketing those people parking in front of those signs, on the good side was groomed to cabin.

We rode today on the way down every Tom dick and Harry were in the the turn around. Kids sliding down the hill people everywhere. Complete chaos

I drove up there yesterday to exercise the dogs. What a disaster. Every moron was on fs70. Clueless people is cars going no where and every wannabe Rambo pulled halfway off the road and blasting away. I turned around as soon as I could and got out of there. Imagine a firing line of 30 Yahoo's all blasting away at any piece of trash they brought from home.

I can relate, drove up FSR 70 on new years day perhaps around 11 am with a three place snowmobile trailer and soon came to a road block at a gated spur road on the right. Cars and trucks jamming up the road turning around and parking and people jumping out in the middle of the road with their targets and rifles etc. Kind of dangerous in that part. But the thing that tans my hide is those idgets that parked at the turn around at the gate and built a large bon fire while their kitty cats were sledding down the road just above the gate. I took it upon myself to talk to the older gentleman of the group and suggested maybe in the future to build a fire elsewhere. He replied that he was using an existing fire ring...... BS..... Has any of you fellow Washington Snowesters that ride in the area ever saw a fire ring built in the middle of the turn around below the gate?????

I have been up there twice what a f##### circus. none of these jokers had snowpark permits where's the forest service at to enforce anything. Why pay for tabs?

All just glowing endorsements as to why the gate should not even be closed in the first place. Let the people that know how to drive get up and over the bypass and all of the looky loos can stay put. We were the last ones out last Monday before Christmas and the groomer had us lock the gate behind us but stated they were just going to clean up the road of trees and plow to the end of pavement and open it back up. Obviously the FS got involved in that decision if the gate is still closed.

Yep the ride in and out always Pisses me off whether it's up the hill in the truck or the extra awesome road ride if the gate is closed.
Last time up there, my kids made me stop responding to people flagging me down to help them get their sled un stuck in the meadow or 20' off trail, lol!
I'm glad it seems a lot of people are out enjoying snomobiling but GW has definitely turned into amateur hour!
Too many trail rockets who can't keep on the right side of the trail too. I've beat it into my kids heads and even my 9yo gets it and rides on the right, signals the group if he's the first to see oncoming sleds, etc. he got d@mn near hit head on by some tool bag coming around the corner hugging the wrong side of the trail! Wtf did these db's drive up there on the left side of the road or did GW get invaded by the British??

seems you all like riding on weekends unlike you guys (and yes occationally ride on wk ends also) us retired guys like weekdays for all of these reasons like yesterday 1/6/16 saw more groomers than sleds did 134.6 miles.
first time riding to whistlin jacks on sleds by ourselves, after some of our favorite hill climbs and a few other places only 5 places we went were not groomed in last 24 hrs, (they were also doing tree removal yesterday also) they were also working on getting parking lot (upper) ready to open but did get snowplow stuck in process. saw 6 trucks and trailers as we were leaving about 5 pm 3 were just pulling in and noone parked between signs, lol oh ya still no wood at cabin ya gotta bring your own.

I too, have recently joined the ranks of "The Retired Guys" and would love to ride during the week when I get my Poo back together...not too keen on heading out by myself. Actually I don't mind, but my wife minds if I go out by myself. :face-icon-small-dis
