first let me state that i am very weak(constructing a lucid arguement) in regards to creationism versus evolution. that being said there are many of you that probably can cast sufficient doubt on any arguement i pose.
most of the doubters would probably look to science and perhaps there surroundings/experiences to come to there conclusions...no? in regards to science... why is it that they can never answer the question of why does the universe exist and why is it so fit for life. i mean isnt science supposed to strip away all the subjective distractions to get to the objective truth? i mean science would have us believe we humans are what we are by an accident. isnt that the heart of evolution... that an undirected(random) and purposeless process made humans.
anyways just some musings of mine to throw in the fray.

Creatures are made from cells (or you can go even further)and thats where we came from. evol. takes 100's of years but things change. when you see people with 6 fingures and stuff, soon we all may have them too, but in years to come.
for the slow people out there, lets use dogs.
take to diffrent breads of dogs, mate them and new animal is born. diff. color and fur. depending on where you live they soon adapt to a climate such as snow and cold weather, if they don't they die. GOD DOSEN"T WAVE HIS MAGIC AND SAVE THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE CUTE. evol. has to adapt them or they go extinct. Its a time line of how the world changes over time. the world will fall apart or be blown up by us and will probally be over a fairy tale thing we call religion!!!
can someone tell me how he has helped anyone personally, all you do is pray to a thing you know nothing about and it gives you hope and faith and whatever it was would fix it self naturally anyways. do you really think he takes young children in tradgic acc. because he needs them, sounds to me like someone i would like to beat the crap out off!!!! people die all the time for no reason and thats life, has nothing to do with a magic man.

I understand about dogs changing due to cross breeding. Fine. BUT, (I'm not speaking for you) the general population that thinks religion and God are the biggest joke, believe in the big bang theory or some type of "beginning" for the earth. Ok, so everthing came from a few or a few million single cell organisms. How can you tell me that God is so far fetched when you can think that an elk, brook trout, human, dog, chicken, eagle, flamingo, and turtle all came from a single source (totally not related, except for bones, eyes, ect... but evolutionary speaking, nothing alike (some fly, some walk). What was the deciding factor in evolution to make some birds be able to fly? In the next 200 billion years will some humans be born with a flap of skin between our arms and ribs, and we'll be able to fly? Maybe? Who, or what in your case, made the universe? The sun? Maybe two rocks collided and Pluto and Neptune were created. Ok, but who or what made the rocks that collided in the first place? And, if you could jump in a space ship, fly at 2 billion miles an hour would you hit the end of the universe (assuming unlimited fuel, food ect...)? Seriously, is religion and the fact the God created everything that much harder to believe then another means of making the universe (and beyond) and everything else? If you think any of the above, then we can't really help you either. Oh, and the money I pay for this "religion" mostly goes to help people who need it, (and to keep lights and heat in the church). Its more believable because there is strong physical evidence to support it. There are fossils representing early forms of animals today, there are rocks dated back millions of years. There are thousands, probably millions of pieces of research by scientists about the subject that support evolution. I dont think its the answer to everything, but i think in time it will prove itself. Many crediable scientists i have read about agree that there may be something else acting on this word, but NONE of them believed it to be some "God"....
I have yet to see some strong evidence of leading me to believe the existence of god.
And H2, where is this link to prove carbon dating is innaccurate.....still waiting....

i'm not a scientist but i don't claim to know all, but i can't imagine you believe in fairy tales. does the tooth fairy and santa come to your house too. as for wing, we have started , webbed toes and fingures. all in time if we have enough. earth and other planets are just rocks flotting and i don't know if thiers a end, but if its like other planets maybe it round. many years ago we never left earth(if we do now) so in many years we will all know the anwsers. but its not some guy doing magic. pay all the money you want you fool, what kind of cars do they drive??? when my mother pased he came in a A^ audi, and the wifes church she was brought up in drives a lex truck.....way to keep it a non profit. and yes all chairitys some money goes thier, but way under what you think!!!!!! i have here a building for the salvation army thats worth easy 10 mill with about 30 acres and a new building????for what. like a church. believe what you want, bottom line is if your happy, and a decient person

Does carbon dating prove the Earth is millions of years old?

Whenever the worldview of evolution is questioned, this topic always comes up. Let me first explain how carbon dating works and then show you the assumptions it is based on. Radiation from the sun strikes the atmosphere of the earth all day long. This energy converts about 21 pounds of nitrogen into radioactive carbon 14. This radioactive carbon 14 slowly decays back into normal, stable nitrogen. Extensive laboratory testing has shown that about half of the C-14 molecules will decay in 5730 years. This is called the half-life. After another 5730 years half of the remaining C-14 will decay leaving only ¼ of the original C-14. It goes from ½ to ¼ to 1/8, etc. In theory it would never totally disappear, but after about 5 half lives the difference is not measurable with any degree of accuracy. This is why most people say carbon dating is only good for objects less than 40,000 years old. Nothing on earth carbon dates in the millions of years, because the scope of carbon dating only extends a few thousand years. Willard Libby invented the carbon dating technique in the early 1950's. The amount of carbon 14 in the atmosphere today (about .0000765%), is assumed there would be the same amount found in living plants or animals since the plants breath CO2 and animals eat plants. Carbon 14 is the radio-active version of carbon.
Since solar radiation causes the formation of C-14 in the atmosphere, and normal radioactive decay takes it out, there must be a point where the formation rate and the decay rate equalizes. This is called the point of equilibrium. Let me illustrate: If you were trying to fill a barrel with water but there were holes drilled up the side of the barrel, as you filled the barrel it would begin leaking out the holes. At some point you would be putting it in and it would be leaking out at the same rate. You will not be able to fill the barrel past this point of equilibrium. In the same way the C-14 is being formed and decaying simultaneously. A freshly created earth would require about 30,000 years for the amount of C-14 in the atmosphere to reach this point of equilibrium because it would leak out as it is being filled. Tests indicate that the earth has still not reached equilibrium. There is more C-14 in the atmosphere now than there was 40 years ago. This would prove the earth is not yet 30,000 years old! This also means that plants and animals that lived in the past had less C-14 in them than do plants and animals today. Just this one fact totally upsets data obtained by C-14 dating

Nobody has proven it DOESN'T exist. Some folks claim to have evidence...but nobody has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that bigfoot does exist either.
If there are foot prints, unidentified hair samples etc....then there would be some evidence. The missing link is the actual body. But that doesn't mean there isn't one. Until someone pulls up to the Fish and Game office with Biggy in the back of his truck, we can't say he's real...we're just left to speculate and theorize. Eh?
That's the inconvenient truth for people who don't believe evolution is possible.
2000 years ago...."Hey, let's just make up something that we think might be true based on what we want to believe right here and now. And then we can tell everyone why we are here. They'll believe us because we said so. We'll even write it onplant leaves and scrolls....and they'll HAVE to believe us then."
I'd rather believe something because of proof or I can see it with my own two eyes. If it's not proven yet, I'll wait to confirm a belief until there are scientific facts.
