But I suppose you actually may be stupid, if so, I'm sorry for ya.

I dunno, the stupidest part of the whole thread was the first post:) I spent a bunch of time riding the powder in the trees the other day while my buds were highmarking the hill nearby. Not because I had to, because thats what I like. I had the highmark earlier in the day on a different hill. Anyway, I prefer the trees and if I were to buy any sled, tree riding manuverability would be top priority. Definately over highmarking and trail riding. To each his own.

amen.

wtf is tree riding? i ride by trees goin up hills, in bowls, valleys, flat ground, probably gone through quite a few in the truck also.

my definition of tree riding would be picking your way through the trees, doesn't have to be steep or flat, trying to find, or going on a previously traveled route through trees tight enough so that you cant rip through them.

yeah its fun when you find a new little meadow or another opening, but I don't spend all day driving around in circles in the trees. I'm either lookin for freshies or trying to get to a different area on the mountain. And if this is what the majority of sw thinks is tree riding, then it doesn't matter if you ride a 485 phazer, your doo 800, or your turbo; just a matter of picking the right line.

From your youtube videos you are a meadow riding champion.... and you will know when your doing real tree riding when that snowpig is on top of you...

a good tree bash session consists of deep powder through tight trees, working your way through were know one has been before? its better if you have to climb around or even through thick trees. adds to the fun, more of a technical thing, thats all. some people love it, some hate it. personally, i like the deep creek revines, jumping from creek bank to creek bank. by the end of the day, your beat!

You didn't quit already, did you SLICK? Just because everyone is out to "beat on you", doesn't mean you can quit. You got all of us "stupid" guys to bite, so reel us in:D Dazzle us all and tell us what year your Virago is and how many Harley t-shirts you own, tatoos, scars, etc. And tell us about all of the std's from all of the biker chicks/dudes over the years.:p

See, you just have a different set of priorities, getting somewhere open so you can feed your ego with boost. Thats cool in its own way I guess. I like my trees in the steep and deep, nice and close together with lots of terrain changes where you have to haul a$$ or your going to get stuck. Picking the right line at speed because you have too or it hurts is a kick for me. Takes a bunch more skill than highmarking, tearing up meadows or trail riding. Contrary to what you think sled choice is a big deal for tree riding the way I like it. You have to have some track and some power to make it work, floatation and low end power are big concerns as is a chassis that responds instantly to the slightest motion. No, a turbo Apex probably isn't what I need or want for trees. Thats not to say I don't want one, but as my primary sled a D8 or M8 with a few lightwieght and power enhancing mods would suit me better. Something boosted for spring would be cool as a second sled. Once the snow firms up and climbing is on the adgenda, I'd love a turbo'ed Apex.

You were reeled in a long time ago, you and your impressive group of cohorts. Where i come from we can't keep anything undersized, so, consider yourself , thrown back.
And all my stories, streetbike, hiway bike, dirt bike, or sled, even the STD tales, sorry pal, it might be fun to trade memories with ya, but I think your ego might get in the way. And thats a shame.
