Great idea for getting your wife to ride more.

Not real sure who these are directed toward...

Live2ride-you've gotta good point. I guess I'll go ahead and get her a new sled and hope for the best. I guess if I have to sell it at the end of the season it won't be to bad, lord knows I've lost lots more money on much dumber things. If she likes it then it was a good gamble. She has good gear and always says she's happy and having fun but I guess I'm not convinced. I wish I new more female riders that she could go with, I think that it would help her to see other girls out tearing it up. She's really competitive and a phenomenal snowboarder so I know she has the love of snow and the athleticism to ride. Maybe if you guys get a all girls video together I can give it to her to spark a little motivation! Thanks for the advice.

BigHoe,

Too bad I am not still living in Montana. I just moved to AK but I used to go to school at MSU. I would have enjoyed takin your lady out to tear it up on a sled :)

I feel darn lucky...my man and my brothers invite me along to ride with them often. I'm glad that there are more ladies getting into this sport! Maybe one of these days I won't be the only female in the group.
The main thing I found out was finding a sled that I was comfortable on. I have a 05 Rev which works great for me. My man has a mod Zollinger hillclimber (Doo) and after riding that I can't wait till he gets his new XP.:D

We wouldn't want you to go getting soft on us Coyote.....LOL

My wife deserves a metal of valor for putting up with my ADHD and my tendency to be a sore loser, which therefore drives me to do whatever it takes to win.

What's even worse, I now have a little protege who is starting to act "just like his father" according to my wife.

:p :beer;

I had to go back and see how this post changed from neg to pos. Forgot about the LOL start.:D too good

dido - great post!!! you hit the nail on the head. the #1 thing i hated when learning was pressure. your wife is very lucky jj! now tell her to join the ladies ride!

Finally introduced Missy to OregonGirl at the snow show, and we both did our best to convince Missy to go on the Ladies Ride......Hopefully she'll go.

Good on ya. They are a great supportive group of ladies. I wish we were closer. I forgot how many lady Utah riders there are. Let me think, oh yeah 3 I guess. I hope the ladies ride will spread to other areas. Maybe 2 or 3 other rides in other areas. :D

All it takes is someone to step up and organize it.......... your wife would be a perfect candidate! :p

Pretty sure there will be one in Washington this year, if I have the energy to do that AND the ORIGINAL! :beer;

That does suck you're gone, I think she would love to ride with more experienced ladies. I've had a couple cool PM's though so I think I've got her all setup for this year.

It is pretty funny how this all got started, it has also just cost me several thousand dollars. My girlfriend is deployed to Iraq w/ the Air National Guard but she is coming home in Feb. to a shiny, almost new sled that she doesn't know about yet. My poor Yami is now for sale. Thanks to all the guys and girls out there that have voiced their opinions and experiences, it has given me tons of insight. We just now need to do a little setup on the new ride when she gets home and hopefully she will be rippin it up in no time!!

Organizing a ride??

SH.:rolleyes:I keep on telling him that he can't attend. Honey you have to stay back with the kids. Silly guy... Lol!

Hummm. Something to think about. I would love to do something like that.:D
