as long as my sled looks good...i think i can convince him to undig it for me, since i am injured ;)

Yup, for sure... I may not have done ANYTHING as grand as what you guys are doing, but right after buying my 900, I spent another $1600 on aftermarket and oem parts and accessories... didn't have the dealer do anything since I bought it.:D

I never take anything to a dealer. mechanic by trade so i do all my own work. and it is fun to build/ work on these things. especially in the summer keeps the snow bug away somewhat. :D:beer;

I hear ya.. nice thing is, in the event something does happen that I dont know how to fix, we do have a very good dealer in town... but for the moment I don't see any reason not to try to dig into it personally:D

haha, it was 102* when we updated my buddies crank to the 32mm:eek::eek::D

update

Well all the parts came in yesterday so I worked till 115 this morning and I am very close to having the beast running.

the 06 coolant tank worked perfect so i got the bracket made and all the hoses routed and installed. now it is ready for antifreeze and oil. The 06 rider select didn't work so i ended up making a poor mans rider select delete to get me by this season i will get a polzinhunter delete next year. I use an energy suspension universal 1" greaseable swaybar bushing and bracket and a piece of 2" angle iron. Very sturdy but a little heavy. may look for some aluminum angle to use.

only things left are to fill the antifreeze and bleed the cooling system and then fill and prime the oil system, install the clutch and left frame brace and mount the boondocker box finish routing the wires for the handlebars and she will be running.

also have to install the afr gauge and battery that i am going to use to prime the fuel pump and run the afr gauge. I will post up a few more pics tonight. was too darn tired this morning to do it. :D:D

The Dragon Breaths!!!!

Well I finally got the 975 running but man did we have problems. I don't think HTG sent me the right ECU because it wouldn't run and i am very thankful i installed an af gauge because you could tell it was way way lean.

i ended up at +23 on the boondocker box for the 3000 rpm lo setting so i added 20 across the board right now for all settings.

thank god my bro "treeslut" was here another guy to bounce ideas off of. we ended up changing fuel pumps and put the 06 fuel pump in and that got it to idle. then we could see it was way lean and we started adding fuel. now she purs at idle and i need snow so i can start dialing it in.

I will be calling rob at HTG on monday and see about getting a diff. ecu it was my dumb idea to try and run this 06 motor as an 05 because rob said his program for the ecu on an 05 was better and he was making 5-10 more hp with them. but not worth the hassle as it turns out.

well wish me luck but atleast it runs :D:D:D:beer;:beer;:beer;

wow...good catch and glad to see you had a AF setup to tune it with..i will break done one day and get one...but would only be for n2o anyways..

im getting stoked to me up with you guys..just try to slow down enough for me to catch up...

if i can bend my knee enough here in about 3 weeks, i will get my sled out and get it setup and ready to ROCK!!!
