The new power commanders work on the 900's? Do they work on the 05's?

we used part number 943-411 for his 900. we got a wire diagram from a gentleman in norway that was running one. basically you have to hard wire it into the 9's because the harnesses are diff. than the 07 and newer ones.

i had a spare head light harness and main harness so i used the 12 wire connectors from them to make my harness so i didn't have to hard wire it in and so i could unplug it and i made a jumper plug so i can run it without the PC not that we would because it needs fuel but for test purposes.

if you are interested when i get back from my trip i can draw up a wire diagram for it. as for working on a 05 i would think it could work you would be just using 2 injectors instead of 4.

i really want to find out if i can make the PC-V with auto tune work.

Get a hold of me when you get back Biggdawg, I got some questions for you.

sent ya a pm.

update this thing runs like crap!!!!!! and blew a head gasket with about 45 miles on it. the tune is way way way off. HTG sucks!!! the money i have in this thing 4 ECU's later and it still runs like crap.

if anyone has any info or suggestions on getting this thing tuned it would be appreciated. what A/F ratio do ya shoot for? mine is pretty rich it seems total piston wash i wasn't having luck with the boondocker box so i ran with out it.

this thing wouldn't even pull the weights i was running last year in my 900 it was completely flat in the middle, from 20% throttle to 75% it was just flat nothing then it would come on at about 6000 rpm and pull like a 600 not no 975 and i could only get 6800-7200 with 11-68 weights which i was running in my 900 last year and pulling 7500-7700 :mad::confused::confused:

Did or does it show any codes?

I know they arent building 975 kits anymore but they still keep mine going good luck any questions feel free to pm me or I will keep up with this thread

thanks i thought of that. i called them last week about flashing and they said they could then i got my ecu back from htg so i thought i was good to go.

i will call them tomorrow and ship the ecu to them and get it flashed. hopefully that will work.

we were at the snowies friday and saturday. we saw the search and rescue people there. i was on the orange rmk tuning in the parking lot a bunch. ;)

update, i just got my ecu back from carl's cycle, they flashed it for their 975 big bore kit. i am replacing the head o rings and head bolts tonight and see if she will bark again.

i think a head bolt stretched or lost torque somehow. maybe dirt in threads. i chased all the threads in all the bolt holes so i hope this fixes it. going to reclutch and take it out this weekend and see. everyone keep their fingers crossed for me :D:D

good luck brother...im roooting for you..

any word on the IP trip?? drop me an email..

goodluck man...

Seems like a quick turn around for the reflash. :cool: I'm runnin the early version carl's 975 kit. I think their more recent kits had more power though.. closer to the rated power of your kit. I'll bet the new program is real close to what you need. Hope your next ride is more rewarding for all that wrenching you did! :beer;

Wasn't the Carl's Cycle 975 kit a race gas kit? I know the HTG 975 is a pump gas kit. If the Carl's is a race gas kit, I wonder how well the Carl's ECu will work with the HTG kit.

depends on how much compresion your running I run mine 50/50 and put a little extra oil in the fuel I have 150 psi at 7000 ft. but when I build any kind of mod motor depending on compression and porting I always use some race fuel for a bit of insurance and state of mind to keep detenation down. and yes carl cycles advises race fuel for the 975 they told me 100 percent race fuel. I ran that first year and decided with my compression to go with 50/50 and it runs a lot better and no problems

i am running 50/50 91 with 100LL the compression on this one is lower than on carls so i should be ok. thanks for pointing that out i had forgot that.

I am just hoping the fuel curve is closer than htg's cause it ran like crap.
