Gallagher

I went to Gallagher on Monday 2/11. It was incredible as no one has been there in so long.

Crossing the avy at Fortune was incredible. It cut a 30' deep swath across the road taking down hundreds of trees and creating a whole new play area.

The Hawkins avy has not yet come down so I was little nervous bout goin through there. Chain has not fallen yet either. Once to Gallagher the snow was light and fluffy and was not wet at all!. Tore it up in an untouched "Fantasy Island. You Know. Where all us happy xp riders like to go."

Guess this will limit the amount of riders to Gallagher from now on. Shame to have to ride it without a million other people. NOT.

It was well planned and I would not have gone today with the temps. I will however be heading into Hawkins either Thursday or Friday. After that it is off to ride Scatter. I do not understand how you can say that it is over for snowmobiling this year! Have you even gotten to ride Lake Ann or Van Amps this year? We will be getting more fresh for at least the next two months. This is a golden opportunity to do a little destination riding. There will be great powder up high where I like to go; for quite awhile- plenty enough just like yesterday to play in and have a lot of fun.

I think saturday was the hardest snow I have ever seen up at gallagher but its a good thing we finally made it into a new area with a little fresh. any know where Skookumin basin is?????

i know where you were. But i didnt think you could get to the top of that peak. I've played a bunch below it though! Nice pics guys.

Have you ever tried to go down the valley on the lower right of the last picture following 1392 towards Koppen Mountain? I have yet to try it. every time I ride my bike through there I always tell my self I need to try and get down that on a sled.

I didn't say they're isn't a way around it... You just can't go through the waterfall..... You can get around it. If you like to drop off ledges and balance over snow bridges with rushing water then you should follow our tracks from Feb.16th... Just be careful as the first 40 feet are interesting....If you mess up, you'll be there a long time trying to convince your buddies not to leave you until the summer.

Go down the ravine about 1000' or so and as you turn the corner to the right, go hard right up the bank... then side hill over the cliff area through the trees...I wouldn't recommend looking down or stopping to take a picture or anything....then you'll come to a small open area. From there you go straight up the another ravine.... very steep...You'll be able to figure it out from there.

sunny day today with about 2 inches of fresh on ice!!!!! not what I was hoping for the demo ride on the new 09 cats!!!!! the grooming was great as always. there where a couple wind loads that was a little deeper, the snow park was pretty full!!!!
