Super simple job! diy shorty seat should make those hop overs much easier now😂jk I can’t do those! Seco makes a Nice product. I went with the water proof seams so hoping the foam will stay somewhat dry, have you removed after a day of riding? The stock is like 20+lbs of seat lol

We installed the same kit on ours. Simple to install just take care to line everything up. The riding position is a lot more natural feeling. You don't feel like your sitting on top of the sled anymore. Running board to seat height feels similar to a Matryx now.

Does it still feel like you got some padding when sitting or does it feel like your sitting on the plastic tank/battery? Got out on my first ride yesterday and the seat definitely felt a bit tall, but I’m fat and get tired by the end of the day so will spend some time sitting on the way out.

Ya it still has some cushion left, I like it👌

Thats old tech from wayyyyy back in the day, works good

X2, many years (decades) ago I used to carry a short length of chain in a loop for that very reason. Back then it was all short tracks and when coming down off of the mountain, the snow can get very wind blown/icy. With a chain on the ski, it would bust through the crust to slow you down as the brakes (often times cable activated) were pretty much useless.
You only wanted to put it over one ski though. This was so other ski could be used for steering!

We were doing this on a icy trail coming down a hill and with one chain on, the sled spun around and went down backwards. We started using 2 chains after that on icy hills what a rodeo lol.

Gott’r done. don’t know what I did wrong with the stickers, but think I ended up cutting a bit low. She’s got a bit of an air gap under the top of the cover, but at least it looks decent.

Mine also as that air gap🤷‍♂️

Maybe it’s normal🤷‍♂️, I was thinking about gluing a sheet of foam on top of the seat foam just to take up the slack just cuz I don’t like the gap.

If you want to come straight down, use v-bar chain. Had to give it a little throttle to keep sled from stopping.

Glued a layer of foam to the top of the seat foam and reinstalled the cover. No more floppy toppy.
