full throttle in reverse

I witnessed a good one friday up at monte.
A guy backing out of his trailer on a blue repairis... He was on one knee... As he made it down the ramp his weight shifted forward and hit the flipper... he weaved like a drunk driver in the gravel for a good 20-30 feet and fell off the side of his sled.
It was the classic waive your hands in the air like it was the sleds fault!

I was laughing so hard I couldn't stop!

:devil:hhahhhahahhaha:devil: Sorry, but that is funny!!
i was climbing this hill near cle ellum WA and got a little off canter on the hill. stopped, backed up a little , realized i needed to do a full throttle takeoff. funny thing is .... never put it back into forward. went 25 ft backwards in full throttle (becuase i also fell on it) into a tree well. luckily i only knocked the wind out of myself and my buddies got a kick out of it.
please tell my im not the only one thats done this lol:beer;

haha

I was dropping my first cornice and got a little off so I got off and backed the sled up a bit. The camera was rolling when I got back on, hit it hard, flew over the bars and over the cornice without my sled. I appreciate the back up alarm now.

Don't need reverse,,,,,,,Don't need lefty throttle,,,,,,, You people are sissies................................. HE HE HE HE HE HE HE HE

I stuck the bumper of my 900 through the grill of my buddys truck ! It snapped the tranny cooler in half clean as could be ! On the bright side it got us an extra day at Grand Mesa ! Unfortunatly this was right in front of the lodge where everyone got to enjoy the show! ***gin embarrasing as hell!

The PERC Front Flip!

I've just about perfected what I call the "PERC Front Flip"...with a little more snap and quicker release of the bars I should just about be able to land on my feet without kissing the windshield :D.

Now If I could just convince my wife that she can't back out of all her stucks my back would feel a lot better!

Year ago, bought new sled '08 Xfire 800, boys at dealer loaded onto my deck truck while I was still inside. Drove home, backed up to snowbank. OK, now time to unload. Hey, this thing has reverse, start sled, push button, yup alarm & dash light works. Next sled is on ground & I'm staring at the headache rack with a sore tailbone, very impressed with 145 Hp in reverse. the first thing to do in this situation is to look for a audiance. Yup, there's the Wife standing on the other side of the porch window with that " I told you so " smirk on her face. And this was not a " here hold my beer " moment, just the facts. There are others, but this is one that I get reminded of occasionally from the audiance whenever the visiting gets quiet. Oh well, if it keeps her happy, I'm happy.

How many have done it while listening to the backup alarm? I for one have done it several times.

My buddy did! We were waiting for a group of guys on a road we had just climed onto. He must have bumped the reverse button when he turned around to see if everyone had made it to the road. Once everyone was there, just before we took off, I hear the beep beep beep and know its not mine, I slap my buddy and tell him he is in reverse. He says it's not him, looks back at the sleds behind us and says it must be one of the other guys and proceeds to grab a handfull of throttle while aimed at the cutbank. He never made it to the bank, instead shot backwards right between the 2 guys behind us, LOL.

learned this lesson yesterday @ Grand Lake, CO, the hard way - before finding this thread.

a couple guys in my group dropped down a nice size hill into a meadow, and I wanted to follow their tracks to avoid some bushes. hit the majic reverse button and only needed to go about 10 yds. well, I pushed a little too much and then lunged into the throttle, quickly adding RPMs to the problem. Didn't make it over the windshield, and managed to push myself off the trigger just in time. almost went over said hill and into a bunch of trees backwards.

:beer;
