Ahhh that stupid reverse.
Glad others are having some dumb@zz attacks also. On my xp, I didn't like that huge electronic cluster that sits on the left grip, so I took it off and mounted it to the riser. Works like a charm and usually out of the way. One day coming off the mountain, I was leading a group across the windiest place in the world (libby). Well, I stopped just before to make sure we were all together. The back two were lolly gaggin, so I just turned to the right and sat on my sled sideways and waited. The wind was blowing hard, and you couldn't hear anything. We finally got all caught up, everyone gave the thumbs up, I stood on my sled, grabbed the throttle, and WHAM!!!! I was almost on the hood, looked back and saw my bumper resting on the guy's hood behind me. Did a little damage to his hood. I was like WTF? Guess these new sleds may just jump into RER occasionally. I didn't know, this was my first sled with reverse. We got everything apart and rolled on.
Well, after that, the same thing kept happening from time to time after I would stop and get off the sled. We all decided that something was wrong with the sled and I better take it in before it does it when I am moving and really cuase a problem.
Then finally, I figured out what was happening. If I turned just right to get off the sled or sit down on it from the side, my pack would hit the RER button. What a fricken genius!!!! Hasn't happened since.
