HR 1388 is a bill that was passed by the House this past week. It is now headed to the Senate. It has been assigned a Senate number S277 Kennedy/Hatch Serve America Act. This bill, if allowed to pass in the Senate will change our lives in ways we never thought would happen in our life times.


The first part of this bill comes across innocently as one that expands the Vista volunteer program started by past administrations and helps young college students. There is one huge difference as one reads further into the bill. It establishes manditory volunteerism by all adults and children in our country. All people will be assigned volunteer duties for three years, they will wear uniforms and be indoctrinated in rules set down by our current administration. Elderly will be housed in camps (this word has been changed to campus). Is this starting to sound like the "brown shirts"?? You bet it is.

Please call your Senators to vote against this bill. They will most likely vote on it without reading it first. Please send this e-mail to everyone on your mail list.

either way if I volunteer it's cause I want to. only then.
 
I saw this this morning. If this is true, these Motherf!!kers are out of control! I also have come to the conclusion that the big brother WAY overstepped it's bounds when the big prez. called for the CEO of GM to step down. That's not in his job discription, I'm sorry. I am an owner of a company as well. If I do a poor job and the gov. askes me to step down, they can suck it. You don't want to give them money, fine. But they have no bussiness poking their nose in the private sector. I have waited patiently and tried to be as accepting as I can about our new CIC, but this guy and all of those around him (Rep & Dems) truely need to go. These people couldn't run food shelter! They honesty do not know what they are doing. They are so far detached from reality it is rediculous!

I agree, I'm too busy enjoying life right now while I still can so waiting for that is not really an option.:D

No wonder all these bills are getting run through, if that's what they have to look at, they don't have enough time in their term to read all those pages and make sense of it and then argue it and maybe negotiate, so they'll just sign it and on to the next one so they can get at least 9 holes in that day.

What floors me is that this guy has the temerity to call for the Ceo's dismissal when he has NO experience outside of his community organizer world and absolutely 0 experience in business...other than extorting money from it. Shall we ponder how his magnificence would fix it?

With very little alternatives coming from the Republicans I'm inclined to agree with you that they ALL need to go.
 
The main problem is the dems are pushing this stuff thru and their own members arn't reading the stuff.

Then you take into account the fact the Republicans are more interested in trying to fix their image than fix the system and you end up with the run away nightmare we have now.

They can kiss my white a$$, and, I will probably have to face a judge if something like that is forced on me or my kids. Volunteer is just that. Mandatory volunteering :)

Now that's interesting. I was just thinking how this sounded just like the Young Communist, Pioneers Organization. Every school had one, and you had to be a member, they assigned you leaders. And, you had to attend classes. You got rank and ribbons and awards to signify your accomplishments. They even took the groups out to the fields to pick vegetables. :) Otherwise, you where reported.

Our new country (snowtopia) of Western Canada, and the NorthWest US, is starting to sound better and better.

One thing that's interesting, exactly how is Obama going to inspire kids to "work", when their families have been on welfare for 3 generations. Hummm. You know, long term this could really backfire on the Dems. What happens when some super conservative gets in office, yha sure, like he's not going to just change the brainwashing to his side. Either way you look at it, this country will probably thrash itself to pieces, flipping from communism to super conservative. I wonder what will happen, the proper thinking "liberal" kids will be put in leadership positions? Maybe only those that meet certain goals, will be given weapons training? Somewhere there are a bunch of liberals, that feel threatened that they don't join the military, or learn how to properly use a firearm.

I really hope all you guys are teaching your kids how to handle a firearm properly. And, what it really means to be American. All though, that might get them in trouble with the government.

not stealing the topic, it's kinda still relevant....I've been thinking lately that this comunist, socialist, marxist movement might just be strategically planned. It could be that it is just so out there that when the moderate democrat comes into play in several years down the road, the independents and ones that vote either way will feel will be more relaxed to vote democrat. Then, they continue to further erode and erode and pick apart conservative principles until they are lost even in the history books. Eventually, principles that are somewhere in the middle will be the new conservative.(McCain, Leiberman, etc.) The comunist foundations have been laid out for the sheep to improve on in future years. All the bill passing and doing it regardless is only proving to the ones doing it that they can. They get more and more empowered by their obsessions and the bills they are passsing.
