First Ride Problems

So it seems like several people have been able to ride their Gen 5 already, how does it feel? Power on the Turbo is obviously improved but what about ride quality, handling, etc? Does it feel lighter and more nimble or is it pretty much just a slightly narrower Gen 4?

Seems less tippy it’s hard to tell because it’s hard to go off trail with 2ft of snow and a 20k+ machine. Just joking but I side hilled twice and it seemed very predictable. Feels much lighter. I’m 6’3” and I have to go to the tall riser I had to squat slightly to reach the bars. Handles a lot better on the trail but the trail doesn’t have whoops yet.

Got some time on my 165 expert. It’s a really good sled. Rides great. It’s the next level of doo for sure. Very nimble, the narrow is really nice. Skid is a nice improvement over previous doos. It does wheelie a bunch though. Engine and clutch is better than the prototypes I rode. Builds boost extremely fast and runs like a stage 2 on the original 850t.
Is anyone not having codes? Mine is the only one in our group not having any codes so far.
My coil connector was not snapped together properly though and it dropped a cylinder 7 miles into day 1. Got that sorted out and it’s been good since.

What are your torsion springs set at and what is your limiter strap setting?

I rode a 165 saturday and also wheelie queen, man was hoping the new geometry would have helped but I was a touch let down....man why cant they come up with a rear shock we can lock out from the bars....be an awesome set up!

I agree that being able to adjust RTS from the bars would be nice, but I would prefer they continue to come from the factory set up to wheelie some and play vs having a skid designed for chute climbing… that just totally ruins the handling for everything else.

I assume Tom and ZRP will have some options to control wheelie.

Well poop I got one with check engine light on . Don’t beep and is randomly on let of throttle it go’s out then comes on randomly
