First Ride Problems

Hope it's something simple.

Cat had engin code trouble back in 2010 I believe when their 800ho engine came out. It ended up being a hyper sensitive knock sensor from being over tightened from factory. Hopefully something like that.

My dealer said the code is for an electrical failure. So something is shorting out. I was the first to tell my dealer about it and 5 more sled came in with the same issue yesterday.

Well, hopefully they can identify the problem and get it fixed quickly.

i'd have to think that BRP is aware of what looks like a significant enough amount of cases.

If the the sleds are just hitting the public how is the clutch kit been developed so fast?
We did Stock power, 175, 185, 195, 205 and a race dept 230hp
The 21,22,23 still use the same primary clutch spring, secondary clutch spring helix, gearing.
The difference is the 23 has a heavier 992(761) ramp and more pivot weight.
For 2 seasons, I poked around with springs and I tested with a set of ground 992 copies.
...ok so the 185hp iBackshift Ski-Doo and LYNX 850 turbo clutch kit can be deployed on the 180hp MY23. Im not doing anything different than using a "pattern" of tuning techniques applied to big bores and tune(s) power increase. Same pattern, 165hp and power increase to 180hp at the same engine speed; increase the pivot weight to match the torque increase and tune the primary spring to make the rpm shift correct - its just old fashioned Aaen tuning.

And im willing to put my head on the chopping block that its only going to be a matter of either the pivot bolt weight on the setting sheet is bang on, or a gram...light. :)

Dealer said I can definitely ride my 23 this weekend and they should have a fix next week. The injectors on the magneto side are shorting out causing the knock sensor to go off.
