First car!

As several ppl already posted buy something cheap first- especially for high school!!

My first car was a 83' izuzu Trooper; had 189k and a back seat that folded flat :face-icon-small-ton. I beat the hell out of it - jumped it, drown it in the river, hit a deer, rubbed it against trees, trashed the interior, hauled friends around, and I even met the girl who is now my wife in it! Man I had some fun in that rig!!

My suggestion is to buy something cheap that suits your needs that has some miles and some light damage, makes the blow a lil softer when u f-#* it up

And save the rest of that cash for down the road.

He ain't that smart, man.

In order:
1995 Dodge neon $200
1990 Honda Accord $250
1998 Honda Civic
1997 Jeep TJ
2000 Chev 1500 2wd reg cab
1998 Subaru Impreza RS
2000 Chev 1500 4wd
2003 Dodge 2500
2008 Ford F350 Dually

I borrowed money from my dad for the 2000 Chev 4wd and paid back every penny. It is not worth having a nice first few vehicles, you will have a fender bender, you will do stupid things, I don't care how "mature" you are for your age or whatever you want to say to try and convice people who know better but you are still a stupid kid. I was stupid kid and I am willing to bet everything I have that every member here was at one point a stupid kid or made poor decisions when they were teenagers. Drive something that needs a bit of work, have some fun, learn how to fix the sh-it you break, buy something nice when you have made those poor decisions and learned from them. Trust me you will want the extra money that you will have saved down the road.
