Anyone hear the testimony on this from some democrat? She's only talking about sanctioning talk radio...what about how biased the major tv networks are, not to mention the new york post!

It's scary that there are people that wan to sanction free speech...i am AMAZED that someone even wants to entertain this.

The only reason they're pizzed about people like Rush, is because they had liberal radio shows at one time (can't remember the names-cuz I never listened) and nobody listened so they got cut. If they can't do it, nobody can. Cry me a river. How can theses people always preach fair (everyone should have a house, rich should give to the poor because they deserve $ too) and then shut down our riding areas. That's not FAIR to us. I think I may be beating the he(( out of that dead horse again, but oh well.

I hate to tell you this but the "Fairness Doctrine" isn't new.
It was in force once already. I believe it was the 70's. The last time the dems were in control they passed the Fairness Doctrine.
It dictated that if you had a conservative talk show you had to give the same time and type of time slot to a liberal talk show.

The Dems blame conservative talk radio for their stinging defeat on the amnesty bill. Since then the liberals have been trying to bring the Fairness Doctrine back.

Their goal, to control talk radio the way they do the TV news and printed news.

Don't kid yourself. This is something that is a TOP priority.
He who controls the information, controls the country.
I forget which famous person said it but "When the news reporters choose a side, truth and justice will lose out and dictators shall rule once more".

This same Al Franken is currently leading in the Senate recount in the state of MN. Scarry if you ask me, The dems went into this election knowing that it would be close and if they could get it close enough to forace a recount per state law, they knew they could steal the election.

The thought is if they can get human hands on the ballots then it will be easy to sway the counts.

Firstly I'm not American. Is this not another tipper gore type attempt at censorship? This gang got spanked in the 90's on the censorship issue. Old Frank Zappa shut this crap down many years ago, maybe Frank needs to be dug up to fight another battle. Seems to me as an outsider that the libs in your country need to listen to all the lawyers in their own party. Censors are a prehistoric bunch, with the interweb etc. it will be hard to muzzle anyone.
