Exercising for snowmobiling?

First off, to the guys that have lost a bunch of weight, Congrats to you guys!

I was doing P90X, but I fell off the wagon. I got the first 30 days done but we moved and haven't been able to get back into it. You guys are getting me motivated to get back into it though, so thanks!

I'm in decent shape, but I've put on about 15-18 lbs around my mid section since I joined the AF 7 years ago and I think its time that it comes off.

What are some opinions on the best Ab. workout??? Preferably involving laying on the couch and beer, but will consider other suggestions!:beer;:)

Started conditioning this morning. 6:30am to 8am. Five days a week. I have to do something or Burandt is going to leave me dead up on the mountain this January. Something to do with the fact that I live down where there is air and when us flatlanders head up to the hill the altitude tends to hit us a little harder.

So I'm thinking it would be a good idea to get into shape for snowmobiling season this year.

I do about 20-30 minutes on a elliptical about 2 days a week. Yeah it's not much but I really hate exercising and it took me awhile to find something that I don't hate as bad and I can stick to.

I do try to stay active at home and work also -moving feed around at work and riding horses, etc. My weight is right were it should be, just feel like I would ride better if I had stronger core and shoulder muscles.

Any ideas?

Deadlifts and power cleans.

Get to where you can deadlift 500+ pounds and clean 250+ pounds, getting sleds unstuck gets a lot easier :p

Lol, but I always though that lifting almost 5 times my weight was a bad idea. ;)

this doesn't really fall into the exercising part, but its weight loss. i was told about this stuff called No Diet. its pretty much pure protein. tastes like pink lemonade. you eat at lets say 6pm, wait 3 hours and take 1 tablespoon then go to bed a half hour later.

i had a buddy of mine tell me about it. he has lost about 25 lbs so far. never changed his diet, never exercised more or less. just added the No Diet. here's the link. let me know what you guys think. i am thinking about trying it.

I just got P90X in the mail. The wife and I are going to give it a shot. It sounds really hard but hopefully worth it. Wish me luck:)

This year I decided to get in the best shape of my life and lost 83 lbs. I can't wait to see what the sled feels like this year. It will be like a new animal I'm sure of that. No secrets just diet and cardio 6 times a week. getting ready to get back into weight lifting again. Hurry up and get here snow.

worked out legs and abs this morning. I usually do abs, but i haven't really worked legs for a LONG time. After legs I spun on a bike for 35 minutes (doc says I'm not supposed to run yet after knee surgery)

I felt great afterwards but now my arse is starting to get sore.

I started a week ago, well see how long it lasts. Good luck with keep up with burandt.

I found the last couple of years that in addition to cardio, pilates and some yoga really helped me, and some weights. The balance poses in yoga really made a difference and the pilates keep everything else strong. I try to work out 4 times a week. Then I don't feel like a train ran over me after a day on the mountain.:face-icon-small-hap

I thought I was sore yesterday....OMG I couldn't hardly walk when I got out of bed today. Its a good soreness though...one that reminds you of why you need to keep working out

:beer; Second day soreness sucks.

I went grouse hunting yesterday, not a bad workout. Hunting at just under 10,000 feet in rough country. First time for the young dog (she did wonderful), shot some birds, and got to see some cool country. Wish I could do that all the time instead of hitting the gym. :)

I have been riding my mountain bike a lot this summer. It may not be the best sledding exercise but it is a hell of a lot more than i did last summer.
