What is your take on people carrying knives or different Personal Defense Wepons.

I usually carry a CRKT M16-10KZ everywhere I go, except school, be it Chruch or family get togethers.

I know alot of people carry knives but what about guns?

Any one ever been in a situation where you needed to use a gun or knive etc. For SELF DEFENSE? and no Self defense from your wife does not count.

If you find youself in a knife fight.......you better be the guy with the pistol. If you find yourself in a pistol fight.....you better be the guy with a shotgun. Better off to never find yourself in either.

Well that's my point. I never let a situation escalate to some one drawing a gun.

I can see your confusion....but your not going to arm yourself out of what you may be feeling. You need to unplug and talk to someone...weapons and the internet are not your solution.

Maybe someone at your church?

Here let me refrase all that I'm trying to say.

1) I carry a knife for defense purposes
2) I am very familiar with knives guns etc
3) I am currentally taking military grade knife training.
4) I have been carrying a knife since I was 5 back on the farm
5) I have already talked to people about that situation.

It was not because of that, that I started to carry a knife. I have always had a knife and it will always be there when I need it.

things like that. You never know what will happen. That was my football coach. People are dumb. They see a potential target and they will try.

So what would your knife do for you in that situation?
I'm sure your knife training will go great with your paid for black belt.:face-icon-small-dis

You have issues kid. And need to figure it out before you end up barking up the wrong tree. I'm sure the first time you pull a knife on someone be it in defense or any other reason will be your last. Most likely end up in a judicial time out, if you're even that lucky:face-icon-small-win

First. Please don't disrespect me and my training. I have poured my lifetime into it. and for a situation like that. Nothing. Call the police. That was a bad example but I couldn't think of anything that involves knife fighting.

and the only time I use a knife is if an attacker(s) approach with a weapon. Other wise you talk someone down. Give them their distance or leave.

Sweet, and now you can break bricks, way to go.

So if your attacker approaches with a Baseball bat you're going to pull out your pocket knife? Good luck with that... Seriously, unplug and go away...

I really don't appreciate hate from a guy probably 1 or 3 times my age. It's retarded. And ya I will pull a knife, is there a problem with that?

Second. No I will not leave. I paid my money for being a member and am not going to leave because some guy thinks that I pay my way though everything and never have to work. Trust is. I'm probably more dedicated than you will ever be. I'm applying for a job and starting my college applications so I can go to a nice collage and have a job that I can do instead of sitting on my *** picking on kids that are trying to accomplish something in life.

I don't get what your problem is? Ya so I'm a little cocky. Act your damn age and get over it. Nothing to beef about.

If your going to play tough guy don't do it over the computer.

You're putting words into your head that haven't been said. No one ever mentioned you not working or paying your way through life. Just like I previously stated, any discipline worth anything will not give Children black belts. Children that have black belts are "paid for belts". They are the equivalent of a participation ribbon. Most Disciplines require years of training to earn a Black belt or equivalent status. Some 15 years or more. So don't put to much value in your belt and weapons training. Don't assume you are so Bad@ss that what you are paying to be taught will get you out of any kind of real trouble. The fake fighting you do in your videos is nothing more then a dance routine. It is much different when someone is actually resisting. they don't just flop around and do what you want them to. The activity you choose to do is great for you....but it is only an activity and not a sport or a solid self defense/fighting system. It's like being a member of boy scouts. It's fun and adventurist but it doesn't truly teach you how to survive in the wilderness. You want to do something that will toughen you up, then start wrestling, it will show you a different side to things and help you understand the difference between controlling someone or just dancing with them.

FYI- there has been no tough talk from me. I just find it hilarious that kids can be so simple minded and obviously delirious to reality....

You put it out there, don't get so worked up and show what a child you are
by blowing up at peeps comments. If you can't handle the heat then maybe you need to take a time out and go watch some power rangers....

When I was 14 the only tactical training I had was removing a cheerleaders bra...and I did that with military precision.

No matter what angle. Left or right side. That's the **** you should be worrying about. And be careful. Some bras load from the front which means you have to be a little more obvious. You lose a little bit of the "element of surprise".

Dude! Just be 14. Let that other **** go. It passes so fast and then you're just old. Enjoy while you don't have a mortgage, kids and car payments. Just relax and be a kid. It's a great thing.

I carried a knife when I was 14, but I opened hay bales, whittled arrows and spears around campfires and trimmed my fingernails with it. That's about it.

I never would have thought of bringing it out and flashing it at someone....I figured that would just make things worse. I like BossRev's advice...one time I shot a double leg take down a dude and put em in a friggin full nelson. A dude's face doesn't like pavement when he's in a full nelson. It tends to humble even the grouchiest SOB. LOL
