is it a manual reverse^^? i have that in a modded 800 and it bearly holds togather. might be a risky setup for real horsepower? i always manage to gradually grind the drive pins down till they will eventually give unexpectedly throwing you into the bars and sometimes over

I've been running a mechanical reverse on my 1050 wc for 3 years, and had no problems what so ever.
Actually it works so good, I'm thinking of running one on the 1200 as well.

As far as gearing go, I run 25/39 with 8t 2,52 drivers and 151x2 fingertrack on the 1050,
and 25/41 with 8t 2,52 and 159x2.25 paddle on the 1200.
1050 is more of a trail sled, and the 1200 is set up for climbing/deep snow. I'm at 1000 feet though.

rev

i wonder what keeps causing breakage in my little 800? maby these are controlled and operated differently. doo vs pol hardware? seems like they are a similar setup
if it works for yours though, perfect

What can I expect with 20-41 gears, 9th 2.52 drivers, and a 151X15 track? Will this gear combo work? I am planning on going to a 162x16x2.5 3.0 with 7th drivers and the same gearing mid season, this is why I want to run this gearing now. 1160 Triple.

How much cutting did you need to do in the "consumer" IQ chassis? How about carb fit around the steering post? Someday I may want to upgrade my Pro-X chassis (or I'll break it in half) and feel an IQR is too one-dimensional for my needs. Thanks!

Only cutting in chassis is a 5x5cm pice to route the cooling hose from pump to the water manifold on engine block. I had to do some mods to the steering
post to fit the carbs. I will post some more pics when i got carbs on.

Shoot me if i`m wrong but i belive Thomas will go with his own designed X-Tech pipes for his 1200..anyway,i`m looking forward to see more pics :)

Where should I be pulling power from for my Avenger 3? P1 in the setup mode is set to #1 and the RPM is reading 9.33 at idle. If I change P1 through the entire scale 1-20 it reduces the RPM number. It is an 1160 Triple, with 650 Ultra electrics, I have a brown, yellow, and Yellow/Red coming from the stator. I have Brown and Yellow red going to brown on voltage reg. and Yellow to Yellow on VR.
I have the old connector for the Avenger with only Red and Black wires. The manual says to pull from the lighting coil... don't have one.
Thanks,

same

i was having the same problem with my avenger 3. until my lighting coil went out or somthing like that. i thought all stators had a lighting coil and ignition coil intact?
anyway the egt people told me to do a total clear or reset to the avenger it might work. i never got to try it
shouldnt the brown go to the frame? been a while but the yellow red shouldnt connect to the brown? not totally sure

pretty sure i have the red on the race pack ties to the yellow from the stator and the black tied to the brown

im allso runing a bear cat secdary on it whach comps for the tall gears its a littel tall on short puls but the long ones its right on

Johnsodo- what are you running in your bearcat? I'm thinking of going that route and ditching the team. I'm at sea level. What size weights are you spinning?
Thanks

You are probably right about the lighting coil.
Is there anyone who is running a Racepak that can tell me where they are getting power for RPM?

Running Racepak Avg. III, getting power from yellow and just wiring it directly to ground. Believe I found some yellow wire going to the lights, has power as long as the engine is running.

RS

Anyone have the avenger install manual? I dont have the install directions. As far as power mine was hooked up with red to yellow and black to chassis under the brown wire. Thanks for the gearing advice all. And yes I was thinking of going mechanical reverse. I have read where several people have done it with no problems so I figured what the heck.

My pipes suck so bad and I do not have 1500 dollars for a set but I do have a set of non ves slp with a can and I would love to have a set of triples with a can... any suggestions.

Are you wanting to buy a set of blanks? I might have a complete set of ves blanks with all the stuff you need to fit them. What kind of money were you looking to spend?
