Im new to the thread and new to the 1200wc world. I love these motors and will never go back to a twin. my question is what are you guys running for timeing at 8000 to 11000 ft my sled is only tacking 8000 thanks

im looking for cylinders for my jetski

Hi Guys, I just got a 1998 polaris 900 jetski with a bad / missing cylinder.
so i thought i would check with you guys first for parts (next is ebay).

Im looking for a pistion, pin, bearing, cylinder, head and some bolts for the 900
It is my understanding i can use a 1050 cylinder or a 700. I will take what i can get. I just want to see it run.

Please PM me if you got what i need

ps im also looking for the coil pack

would be willing to spend up to $300 depending on condition

thanks
brent

1050 watercraft cylinders

I'm also looking for a 1050 top end for my jet ski. Let me know if you have
any good parts laying around from a conversion.

Thanks,
Tony

The waterflows thru the crankcase on the sled motors, not out the exhaust. But these guys have watercraftparts all overtheplace anyways.

The question was asked quite some time ago, but nothing ever came of it, has anyone tried using a Ski-doo triple ignition with RER? It would definitely require some work, but should be doable.

My dad and I are toying with trying this on our 1500 Cat, and are looking for pointers.

Thanks

Hey to anyones that interested in building I am wanting to know if there is anybody want to build as I dont have any parts to sell . I would need to build at least 5 of everything to make it worth it to build so if anyones interested let me know Brad

awesome power

my summer project is a gen 2 triple build. my question is this: i was planning on stuffing my ultra based sever 800 engine in the chassis and adding nitrous. now i've found a w/c 1200 with everything to make it go in my chassis.the 800 needs top end attention and nitrous. the 1200 is a bolt in, ready to go, but $4000. let me know your opinions, please.

do your 800 pipes fit in the gen 2? if not, the 1200 with previously fit pipes would be the easier route. not to mention if the 1200 is used then its all dialed in also

If you want a wc i would jump on that deal . Im in the process of building one right now in a 97 gen ll 700 chassy. if the engine has not been run on nitrous you may need to change compresion i would give brad @ power addiction a call on the wc info.

If you decide not to go the 1200WC route could you pass the info onto me? I have been looking for one for awhile now.

Is there any chance someone who is real familiar with this thread could put an index up front; there is tons of good info here just real hard to sort through?

Look up top what I did was print as PDF file. In the PDF file you can use "find" for keywords. There is also "search this thread" up top but it does not seem to filter as well.

Hello and greetings from finland

Building myself a 1050 with nonves cylinders etc basic stuff. Putting it into a Prox chassi. Wondering about the clutching, any idea were to start. It would be nice to have atleast some idea where to start.

Have a 136x1.75" track, ride 0-3000ft, mostly ditchbanning, boondocking and some hillclimbing. Not too much trailriding but the sled should work there also because have to ride them also. Definately want the sled to be sharp in all situations.

I use Polaris p-85 clutch and team tss-98 secondary. Gearing is also still open.

I know I have to do testing but some startingpoint would be nice.

Thanks

1200 in rev

Looking at trying to put a 1200 in my rev. Anyone done this?
Has someone worked out electronic reverse yet?
Have seen the question posted but no responses yet.

On my non ves but ported 1050, I ended up with 74g MTX and 170-300 spring (SLP orange/silver) in primary.
If you use polaris weights 68-70 will be close.

I run button secondary(r12 and 30/65), so can't help you there.

Gear it higher than you would think! These motors love the load!
I run 25-39 now, with 8-tooth non-slip drivers, and my track is 151*2 finger with 500 kold kutters.
Runs at 8300-8400rpm no problem all day long with this setup!

Offcourse all this depends upon what pipes you are running. Mine are tuned to 8300-8500.

ps. I also run it 0-3000'

good luck sticking that in a rev a ultra based motor or a mach z tripple has been done but the w/c motors are two big. just by a iqr and then i will sell you a drop in kit that will bolt together . I dont think the reverse is possible since there are no tripple ignitions that have the reverse options in them . Good luck.

Brad

I've seen pictures of an ET 1740 in a rev, and that's a bigger bottom end than a w/c. Also, the '99 and newer Mach Z 809 ignitions have reverse.

We also had the thought that you could mount a second timing sensor in the case, but offset so that it would trigger correctly if the engine were turning backwards. Have a switch to change which sensor you use, then you could start the engine backwards with a rope on the clutch. It's not quite as easy as pushing a button, but it would work in a pinch.
